Group of Industries. 62 years old Mr Sarda is one of the biggest industrialists from Calcutta. His father Mr ShiwaLal Sarda was also a business magnate. Basically, the Sarda family belongs to Sujangarh, Rajasthan and moved to Kolkata in the 1940s. At that time, Kolkata was becoming the hub for business opportunities. Mr Sarda was completing his graduation from St. Xavier College Kolkata and learning business skills as well. Under the guidance of his father, Ghanshyam joined the family business as a modest jute trader. However, that was the worst time for the jute industry in Kolkata still he managed to revive the 9 sick jute mills. He was new to the industry but his father’s motivation and teachings were with him. After the huge success in jute mills expansion, Neetish Sarda's father was unstoppable. He entered the chemical industry by acquiring Kolmark Chemicals Limited. By this point, he had developed a reputation for resurrecting inactive business divisions, reorganised the unit's structure and investments, and brought new life to the ailing Kolmark Chemicals. The firm owned the BSL Limited in 2002, and Vision Comptech, the Sarda Group's IT subsidiary, got the property deeds for its prospective call centre later that year. Mr Sarda's significance in the jute industry is evidenced by plans for Greenfield Jute mills in Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu, as well as the development of two jute production training centres in West Bengal. At this moment, Sarda Group is a behemoth worth Rs.2500 cr with his hard work and vision. The group has invested in real estate, chemicals, tea estates, distilleries as well as the IT sector.
