Neetish Sarda and his Father
Smartworks, India's premier provider of agile workplaces, was founded by Neetish Sarda, when he was just 25 years old. The Economic Times Promising Entrepreneurs of India 2019 has designated him as one of India's most promising entrepreneurs. Story of Neetish Sarda and his Father Neetish Sarda is a Kolkata based industrialist. He is the son of Ghanshyam Sarda, owner of the Sarda Group of Industries, which has a market capitalization of INR 2500 crores and primarily works in the jute and information technology industries. The Sarda Group owns Alwar Jute Mill, Agarpara Jute Mill, Axsys Technologies, and Vision Comptech. He also has the Chandakala Devi Trust, which is a charity trust. Sarda Group of Industries was also the first company in India to establish professional training facilities for jute mill employees. Sarda Group now employs over 50,000 people and is one of the major employers in West Bengal. Mr Sarda had contributed to the state in a variety of ways, including events, sports, and public affairs, in addition to business. They recently launched a project to assist Jute workers in caring for their health. After studying overseas, Neetish Sarda returned to India and opted to become an entrepreneur instead of joining the family company, seeing the dynamic character of India's corporate real estate market and the increasing need for a flexible office environment. He founded Smartworks in April 2016 which is rapidly expanding, with over 450,000 square feet of top-of-the-line serviced office space and over 200+ clients.
