YEAR: Jan, 2023

A bio-inspired structure exploring innovative ways to attract people’s attention toward global warming, installed in St James’s Park, one of the most iconic and historic locations in London. This project aims to strengthen people’s understanding that the ocean and humans are inextricably interconnected, with designing an interactive pavilion to engage users’ senses, inspired by ocean and phytoplankton.

This project were located in a historical place and I tried to bring back the Safavi’s architecture style with little change. This ancient building was abandoned for years and for this reason, insects and moisture were destroying the building. The old face of the building were retured and a beautiful wood door replaced the metal one to bring light into the room as well as Safavi style design.

MALEK MOMENTO RESTORATION

FACADE RESTORATION PROCESS

The presence of a garden near the rooms and the lack of a nook caused the walls to collapse. Therefore, all the walls were scraped and the building was reinforced again with bricks.

Additionally, we removed any soil and shingle from the roof to reduce the weightload, and applied a new waterproof membrane to avoid water licking on the facade. Also, all guttering and drainage elements including the downpipe replaced.

Due to insect damage and dampness wooden window's frame were changed and and doors were repaired. Additionally, the termite-infested wooden timber s were replaced by a brand-new Russian one which are anti-insects. Stone skirting were installed at the lower part of the walls to prevent rain and moisture.

FACADE RESTORATION PROCESS

The building's facade had been destroyed by rain and sun for years, so that we shaved it to get to the underneath brick layer. Then the facade of the building were retrofitted by wire mesh and suitable mortar in diffrer layers.

Wiring got changed and improved. A beautiful facade lighting were designed to show design elemnts better at the night.

A large beautiful wooden door were designed inspired by Safavid style to bring light inside the room as much as possible, as this room locatedon the west side.

The access to tiolet got changed from the yard to room, to make a convient suite room for users. Red bricks as a finishing floor bring a sense of warm and cozy to the rooms.

KELARABAD VILLA

ARCHITECT: Raavi Consulting Engineers

PROJECT MANAGER: Shima Roshanzamir

DESIGN TEAM: Negin Saleh Jazi, Hasan Mohamadi

PROGRAM: Villa Complex

YEAR: 2019

CLIENT: Private

LOCATION: Mazandaran, Iran

GFA: 12880 m2

STATUS: Under construction

MY ROLE: Concept, Schematic, Interior & Technical Design, Drafting & Visualization

This project is located in Mazandaran Province, most humid Northen part of Iran, with breathtaking views of the jungle and Alborz Mountains. We took inspiration from nature to design the roof of the complex, specifically the sea waves and the mountains forming the natural landscape. With the location of the villas and routes already predetermined, we could not design a winding path that has a organic feel. However, we were able to reflect the smooth sea waves and the natural landscape on our design of the town skyline.

The rhythmic dance of the roofs is reminiscent of sea waves.

This site was partitioned into different sizes, and we could only build in the allocated areas. We only added more parking and gardens with natural look into the site. Then categorized the lands into 3 zones based on their area, and designed three alternative plans for the client.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN

Due to the rainy and windy weather of Kelar Abad, entrance was located on the east side.

To immerse ourselves in the surrounding greenery, glass walls was chosen for the ground floor.

Creating privacy with the retractable wooden panels were placed in front of the glass. These wooden panels bring wonderful light rays during the day.

Entrance

On the upper floor, has been trying to have maximum view of surrounding while maintaining privacy and a view to the pool in the ground floor.

Also a large balcony were placed on the south to enjoy watching the beautiful scenery of the jungl and sea upfront.

The main goal of this project was to design a pool and spa for women and men. Due to the governmental limitation on women using outdoor pools, I designed the project in a way that they can enjoy open feel because of natural light and views. To reach this goal, the courtyard was located in the middle of the pool to allow daylight and fresh air into the space. A spa, massage rooms and cafe were placed in this design to address all customer needs.

This small store is located in crowded street in Isfahan and Its unigue location make a good opourtunity to show it off to passengers. In this project, the client applyed a minimal design renovation with low costs. Firstly, visual turmoils were reduced by moving the mess and a drywall was added to hide them, also extra lines in ceiling were filled to have a simple one. Secondly, white solid displays were designd to show rugs better to people in the street. Additionally, all the objects were designed in a harmonic way in terms of the form and colors.

DAFTTIN RUG SHOP

Due to the visual disturbance of the street’s facade, the entrance became bold by a black metal box to welcome customers. Since the store is very small, solid showcases were designed to use the backside for hanging rugs as well. The big front wall was painted dark gray to add depth to this small store and look bigger and also showing the rugs’ detail better. In addition, the contrast of white showcases and the grey wall colour in the background, make them bold when seen from the street.

It seems important what kind of information in designing of interactive information management can benefit you in some ways. So this concern has been challenged in this project, in order to achieve a reliable result by using imprecise tools such as aquarium air pumps. It began with the definition of a default that one can benefit from a variety of sensors in smart-phones as a relative accurate and of course very accessible tool. It is also considered the mathematical rule that only one surface is passing through three points in the space. Hens existence of three moving points seemed sensible. But achieving three moving points and essentially a simple physical structure, in this stage of the project, we go beyond solving technical problems and getting through information management area and applying it on physical set, With the help of grasshopper Controller software and its gyroscope sensor. if the surface is out of balance, Arduino will turn on a pump in one side and open the draining vale in the other side by applying an order which is defined in an algorithm. Thus we could reach a balanced surface.

BUS TERMINAL P.07

LECTURER: Yasaman Darem

COURSE: BA / Studio No.4

YEAR: Dec, 2016

The aim of this Studio was to design a novel structure. Due to my inspiration, Spain’s Metropol Parasol, and hills behind the site, I have designed a smooth waffle structure with a sense of movement. This structure is formed by twelve columns that carry the building’s weight and also bring natural light and fresh air into the interior of the building. Passengers could sit around these columns, enjoying natural light and greenery, or go around and buy some souvenirs. They can go to the cafe, restaurant and also stay at hotel. Noticeably, clear spatial hierarchy was a most important issue here that have helped passengers access the buses and exit the terminal simply.
