These electric vehicles from BMW not only offer exceptional performance, but also promote environmentally friendly driving. The brand continues to lead the way towards a greener future in the automotive industry.

The seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series – the BMW i7 – is the first to be equipped with an all-electric drive, but the 7 Series is also redefining the class with regard to driving assistance, connectivity, entertainment and also lighting and spatial concepts.

The BMW i7 xDrive60 is a highperformance electric vehicle featuring a powerful 101.7 kWh battery pack positioned beneath the vehicle’s floor. It is equipped with two electric motors that generate an impressive total of 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque. BMW claims that the i7 xDrive60 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 34 minutes using a DC fast charger.

Additionally, BMW highlights that the i7 can regain up to 80 miles of range within a mere 10 minutes when utilizing its maximum charge rate of 195 kW. As per the EPA, the estimated range of the i7 with its battery pack varies between 296 miles and 318 miles, depending on the size of the wheels (with smaller 19-inch wheels offering greater range).

The adaptive recuperation feature enhances efficiency by working in conjunction with the vehicle’s battery system and onboard GPS. When a destination is entered, it optimizes brake regeneration along the chosen route, maximizing the vehicle’s energy recuperation capabilities.

The interior of the i7 offers a cuttingedge and opulent environment, blending comfort with technological advancements. From the exquisite seat adjustments adorning the door panel to the integration of 5.5-inch color touch screens within the passenger door handles, every detail exudes sophistication and showcases the vehicle’s innovative prowess. The presence of plush fuzzy floor mats further enhances the overall experience, combining refinement with a seamless fusion of luxury and advanced technology.

According to BMW, a button-free future awaits us. The interior of their impressive sedan is filled with an abundance of screens. A continuous, curved pane of glass houses both the driver’s display (measuring 12.3 inches) and the infotainment display. Controlling all functions is done seamlessly through BMW’s iDrive system or the voice recognition feature, eliminating the need for physical buttons. This forward-thinking approach showcases BMW’s commitment to a sleek and futuristic interior design, where screens take center stage, providing a sophisticated and intuitive user experience.

BMW has developed the iDrive and voice assistant system to such an extent that physical buttons are rendered unnecessary. The user-friendly interface allows for seamless customization of features like interior lighting or the welcome sequence. Although navigating through menus may be required, accessing the desired menu is as simple as using the wake word, “Hey BMW,” and making natural, conversational requests. The voice assistant comprehends complex commands within reasonable limits, ensuring a convenient and intuitive experience. This remarkable advancement in technology showcases BMW’s commitment to providing a user-centric and personalized driving environment.

BMW’s designers have taken a bold approach by reimagining the control mechanism for directing, opening, and closing the air vents. They have replaced traditional controls with small, nublike controls that effortlessly adjust the discreet vents positioned along a narrow strip beneath the expansive 14.9-inch infotainment screen. This innovative design allows users to precisely direct the airflow in their desired direction, adding a touch of elegance and functionality to the overall interior aesthetics of the vehicle.
