Preface This document is a concise report of the eight weeks summer internship, starting from May27, 2019 ending July 20, 2019, that I underwent at Sacred fig Design based in Jaipur. The report is an overview of all the projects and assignments done during the course of my internship . The objective of this internship is to ease students into the routine of a proper work environment as well as understand the functioning of the respective industries they work in. The reports highlights the profile of the company , roles played by each department and analyses the learning at Sacred fig Design. This company provided me with a platform where I enhanced my skills set in Graphic designing and packaging for various brands. Overall it was a successful experience in terms of gaining knowledge and giving my best contribution to the organization.

We would like to congratulate you on being selected for the Graphic Designer summer internship position with Sacred Fig Design, effective from 27th May 2019 to 27th July 2019. This is a non-paid academic internship during which you will be expected to provide 40 hours per week through 27th July 2019. You will be awarded an educational stipend of up to INR6,000 to defray some of your expenses related to internship. This internship is viewed by Sacred Fig Design as being an educational opportunity for you, rather than a part-time job. As such, your internship will include training/ orientation and focus primarily on learning and developing new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of concepts through hands-on application of the knowledge you have learned in the class. The company follows the final instruction from the founder of the company. Co-Founder and Founder manages all the meetings and initial instruction from the clients and is responsible for the expansion of the reaches of the clientele to greater height. The Creative designer looks over the projects and work done by employees. He also maintain the entire photography team and the proper functioning of the comapny.

The document talks about the actual phase of the official industry internship, its nature, duration, objectives, aims, projects, and more. The industry internship began right after the sixth semester of Fashion Communication, NIFT Mumbai for 8 weeks.

Objective of Internship The industry internship’s prime objective was to learning and experiencing. We had to observe how the industry works, what work life is like. Being professional apart from being creative and understanding the work culture and system of working in the organization were the main goals of industry internship. In this internship we had to intern in a design studio/ company/ corporate and work on one or more projects as an intern. We were required to work with multiple people and teams together, co-operate, share, ideas, accept ideas and put our brain and efforts together like a clockwork. Another important objective of the industry internship was discipline. Right from being on time to work to meeting deadlines in terms of projects and being professional. All these were expected to be a part of our internship experience.

BRIEF The company was working on a project in which the company was showcasing them in an exhibition to promote themselves. We were asked to decide a theme and accordingly design promotional post for the event .

For the Ratan’s tradefair, the posters had to be designed in a festive and a very subtle theme. The garments were long kurtis with Golden work on them. Apart from this, the tradefair showcased menswear, kidswear, journals and other stationery along with home furnishing. So we decided a theme that was to be continued for the whole event, so we used very simple and subtle backgrounds with minimilistic fonts, the whole theme was very vanilla yet aesthetically pleasing.

Pre Event is a synchronous event whose handler runs completely before the action that raised the event starts. It helps to promote event to reach a large number of customer in a short time. Pre Event consist of -

save-the-date post are pre-invitation announces your event date and location, and also lets guests know that they will, in fact, be invited to the event.

Main invite posters are used to invite customers to the event also a key message boards for customers to communicate not just their company product , but also themselves

The main objective of using event banner is to highlight a brand. The banner makes a brand stand out from the crowd.

Teaser

a teaser ad reveal only a little about the advertiser or the product. Its purpose is to arouse widespread attention, and build excitement and expectations through consumer curiosity.

BRIEF The brief was to make emailer for current customers. I had to make these emailer for new collection of clothing. Emailer format lets you images and / or videos, headlines and links to action in a single ad unit.

EMAILER Emailer is a form of direct marketing that uses electronic mail as a means of communicating commercial or fundraising messages to the audience every email sent to a customer could be considered email marketing. The main purpose of Sending emails is to acquire new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately.

BRIEF The brief was to make carousel for social media, most importantly for facebook and Instagram.I had to make these carousel for new collection of the brand.

CAROUSEL Carousel ads are an ad format by which several product images are displayed and rotate within the banner. The consumer can have interaction with each product The most often, carousel ads are used for site retarging . The product displayed on the banner are the products consulted on the merchant website and other product recommendations. In this case, each creative is dynamic and built on the fly for each individual.

BRIEF The brief given was to make picture cum text based Live banner for their website and for social media platforms. Targets audience were consumer who prefer handmade products hence the color scheme chosen accordingly to the brand.

LIVE BANNER A live banner is banner ad which is created dynamically at the time of display , instead of being pre-programmmed with fixed content. It function the same way as traditional web banners: product, new offer except that the banner content is variable and may even update in real time.

Learning Working at Sacred fig Design has been a huge learning experience fro me, in terms of a lot of things. To begin with, Sacred fig Design helps me in being a part of a lot projects because of which I was given the right kind of exposure of communication with people. As a person I am not talking to a lot of people, however Sacred fig Design got me in touch with many people, which I feel has improved my communication barriers. I learnt the value of coordinating, managing and handling multiple task at the same moment of time. Voice your opinion, tell people how you think and what one’s taste is like which helps in building up with the colleagues. one of the best thing I learnt during this period is be ready always and willing to give good work, think as much creatively and try to give your best at any time and in every situation.

Flexibility Working as an intern I was not expecting to get a lot of work, but after noticing my work, the co-founder started involved me more projects and even people who were from other departments started including me in their work. Although i had so much work to do, no one ever pushed me to give a certain artworkthe very same day or ask me to work when i was at home. And the flexibility while working helped out in relieving pressure and team building with other people.
