Philippines Fundraiser
n the spirit of giving and supporting others in the community, the Student Council and co-advisers Dawn Hovanec and Jeanette Roberto of North Babylon’s Marion G. Vedder Elementary School hosted various fundraisers in November. Following the devastation in the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan, students participated in “Fill A Heart For The Philippines” by donating $1 to color a heart used to decorate the hallway.
