The Paul H. Tobias Attorney Fellowship Program
Invest In The Future Of Workers’ Rights Advocacy
THE EXAMPLE OF PAUL H. TOBIAS
Paul H. Tobias, the Founder and First Executive Director of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), was a pioneer in the field of plaintiffs’ employment law. For more than 50 years, he was the source of boundless inspiration for our community of workers’ rights advocates. Whether or not you knew Paul, his prolific accomplishments in advancing equality and justice in the American workplace have touched you. He was a true workplace hero whose passion for employment law came from a deep desire to help individuals.
THE PAUL H. TOBIAS ATTORNEY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Named in his honor, the Paul H. Tobias (PHT) Attorney Fellowship Program exemplifies our commitment to cultivating the next generation of workers’ rights advocates. The PHT Attorney Fellowship provides a new lawyer who embodies Paul’s indomitable spirit with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues at the Institute for two years.
JOIN THE INSTITUTE’S FIGHT FOR JUSTICE
Our PHT Fellows make it possible for the Institute and NELA to reach broadly—engaging advocates, organizations, coalitions, legislators, academics, agency officials, media, and the public—to create a more just workplace. Our PHT Fellows contribute to the Institute’s research and advocacy related to the gig economy, forced arbitration, and other topics germane to workers’ rights.
VISIT WITH THE INSTITUTE
To learn more, be sure to stop by the Institute’s table in the Grand Assembly and join us on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. in Salons 1–3 for Breakfast With the Institute.
