Homeschool Club Juniors 4-H Robotics Club

On January 12, 2017 Blue Grass Home Educators met. The Junior 4-Hers learned about Abe Lincoln's family and where they lived. After the story, we made box farms out of shoe boxes. After crafts we played a

game called Never Have I Ever which was pretty fun. Junior Reporter– Julie Davis

Homeschool Club Seniors The Nelson County 4-H Robotics Club enjoyed their educational time programming their Lego robots. They had to work together to find the best way for their robot to navigate a table top maze, while avoiding obstacles.

4-H Country Ham Club

On January 12th the Senior Homeschool 4-H group held its first meeting of the new year. We had Robert Augustine, personal assistant for Senator

Rand Paul, come speak to us. Megan Limke, the President for the Homeschool 4H group interviewed him. He spoke to us about what he does for his

job, and where Senator Rand Paul stands on certain issues, and then he answered our questions. Senior Reporter– Jeb Bradley

St. Ann’s School Seahawks 4-H Club We are very proud of the St. Ann’s Seahawks 4-H members for their participation in Nelson County 4-H contests. They have checked out 30 cases

of candy, submitted poems to the 4-H written communications contest, and are busily working on their poster contest entries.

We hope to see a few of the students at our 4-H Speech and Demonstration contest in April. Great Job Saint Ann’s!

Shooting Sports Education Club

The 4-H Country Ham Club got off to a great start with members putting their two hams into cure. Unfortunately, unseasonably warm temperatures required the hams to be temporarily relocated to a refrigerated cooler. A very special thanks to Mr. Fagenbush for the last minute use of his cooler!

The Shooting Sports Education Club meeting for January was canceled due to snow, however members were back to work in February learning about safety and planning for the

upcoming Shooting Sports Camp. Tim Culver coordinated a great lesson introducing the members to the Youth Hunter Education Challenge program. The lesson included wildlife ID,

3D archery, maps, compass and orienteering. The executive committee met and reviewed enrollment and club needs. We greatly appreciate all of the great leadership within the club!
