LOGO DESIGN

Coming up with a logo

ABOUT The logo is based on my full name. It is inspired by the grid formation of the game Sudoku. Luckily enough, my full name has the exact amount of letters to create a 3 x 3 layout. The design is almost like a game itself but at the same time its simplicity makes it very clear and easy to recognise.

THE MONSOON

Coming up with a design that distinguishes itself

ABOUT The client wanted the menus of the restaurant to portray exactly what the food is all about, what the environment is like and ultimately the fact that it is a family-run restaurant. The client desired to distinguish her restaurant from the other local Indian restaurants and wanted something that was rather different both in its layout and appearance. It is then that I thought that we could play with the way people interact with the menus. The concept of the flip design makes customers more inclined to ‘flip-over’ each food category allowing them to carefully read through their options rather than opting for their typical order.

drinks menu

03 ABOUT The bi-fold design of the drinks menu divides the two categories: Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic beverages. As customers tend to order soft drinks with their meal, the soft drinks are therefore placed at the front for quick search. For the customers who prefer alcohol with their meal, they would venture inside the menu to explore the varieties of alcoholic drinks.

THIRD YEAR DISSERTATION DESIGN

Creating a presentable format of our dissertation

ABOUT For my third year final dissertation, we were told we could present our exploration in any format that we believe is suited to the topic of our dissertation. My dissertation covers the topic of ‘density through connectivity’ and I decided that each page should have a fluid flow and the information should flood through when required.

PLAYFUL PARASITE

Exploded axonometric to display levels and structures

ABOUT For my third year architectural proposal, I came up with the project, ‘Playful Parasite’ where the proposed building injects itself into an existing structure. The core function of the building was ‘Play’, therefore the graphical presentation is purposely playful, vibrant and exuberant.

PRIMARY SCHOOL ART EXHIBITION

Designing the poster for a summer art show

ABOUT I was asked to help come up with a design for a summer art exhibition for a local primary school. The art exhibition showcases many different forms of art that the children has practiced in school. I chose to display their interest with geometry by substituting certain letters with geometric shapes to emphasise the event itself.
