Fight night a knockout A full house of spectators watched and roared with approval as 20 local personalities stepped into the boxing ring, helping to raise $80,000 for charity on Saturday night.
While the capacity crowd at Fight 4 Victory 2 were left thoroughly entertained, organiser Paul Hampton says he was left thoroughly proud. “It’s an amazing thing these guys have done. Stepping in the ring
is a huge challenge and a huge commitment. As a result our programme will continue and that’s a great thing for the youth who use our facility.” Fight 4 Victory raises money for the Vic-
tory Boxing Charitable Trust, which operates a boxing gym for young people. The gym now caters for more than 200 kids. For full story on Fight 4 Victory 2, see pages 8 and 9.
