Nelson’s building boom

Nelson’s construction boom is in full swing. It seems a week can’t go by without another major building announcement and it’s happened again this week with two projects coming to light, a retail space next to Mitre 10 Mega and a new five storey apartment complex on Collingwood St. That joins the proposed Farmers building in Wakatu Square, the proposed Tahunanui development, a new build for the Elim Church in Stoke (more on page 6) and the proposed community facility in Stoke (more on page 3) that have all been announced in recent weeks. But now Rob Sorensen’s subjects involve dead bodies, victims of assault and fatal car accidents.
