Lion Encounter

Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss this “up-closer” encounter with these incredible creatures. You’ll meet with a trained wildlife keeper, learn about a lion's training, hear fun facts about the African lions of Nemacolin, and observe a feeding from a keeper. Every encounter will be unique, yet you’ll come away awed by the size and power of these intelligent predators.
Tiger Encounter
$117 PER PERSON
It’s your chance to meet a tiger and feel the aweinspiring beauty of these curious carnivores. With one of Nemacolin’s wildlife keepers, you’ll learn about their training, hear facts and stories about the tigers, and observe a feeding from a keeper. Tigers have their own personalities, so every encounter will be unique. Prepare to be amazed at these giant cats!
Tortoise Encounter*
$50 PER PERSON
Get up close and personal with a gentle giant! Nemacolin is home to two Sulcata tortoises. With one of Nemacolin’s trained wildlife keepers, you’ll have the opportunity to meet one of the tortoises, feel their shell, feed them a treat, and hear some fascinating facts about them and about their care. Each experience will be unique and can vary. This encounter also includes your opportunity to snap a pic beside (but not on!) the tortoise — photos and videos are encouraged.
For the health of our Sulcata tortoises, it must be at least 70ºF to hold this encounter outdoors. Should the temperature be below 70º, this experience will be held indoors.
Animal Enrichment Experience*
$104 PER PERSON
Guests will have a unique opportunity to meet up to three small animals, a medium-sized animal they can get close to, and a large carnivore they can meet from outside its enclosure. Guests will also have the chance to create a handmade enrichment, like a puzzle toy or food treat, which they can watch an animal enjoy. This is a one-of-a-kind experience, where every interaction is unique! Interactions with specific animals not guaranteed.
Backwoods Trail Rides
$150 PER PERSON
Tour the scenic beauty of the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands on a two-mile wooded trail on horseback.
All riders must be 55’’ or taller and wear appropriate footwear (recommend boots or tennis shoes, no open-toe shoes).

Furry Farm Friends
Meet & Greet
COMPLIMENTARY
Come meet some of Nemacolin’s farm friends where kids can pet and feed our almostalways hungry creatures. Children 12 and under will enjoy this complimentary encounter with a donkey, sheep, and goats.
For those with allergy concerns, the sweet grain used during this encounter with the animals is nut-free. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Weatherpermitting: no thunder, lightning, or heavy rain.
Sled Dog Meet & Greet

Step into an exciting encounter with retired sled dogs at a meet-and-greet with one of Nemacolin’s enthusiastic pups.
Giddy Up & Groom*

Guests will get up close and personal to learn the proper techniques of grooming while observing safe body language from the horse and learning appropriate responses. At the end of the session, guests will have an opportunity to connect a bit more by feeding the horse some of its favorite treats
Painting with Ponies*
$50 PER PERSON
Guests will be able to get up close and personal with the horses of Nemacolin as they create a one-ofa-kind piece of artwork with a horse assisting in the painting process. Pick your favorite color, then assist the horse in making a unique piece of artwork you’ll get to take home.
Pony Rides*
$26 PER PERSON
Rides are under the close supervision of our trained Wildlife associates. Each ride is 5 minutes long.
Please note that our pony rides are given by our full-sized, friendly trail horses. Riders must be able to hold onto horse by themselves. Adults are not allowed to walk beside and hold onto children. Must wear proper footwear.
Guided Wildlife Tour

Zoo Crew & Crafts begins with a half-hour meet and greet with our animal friends from Wildlife Adventures, along with an interactive talk from a keeper. Afterward, your kids will get creative with a half-hour of arts and crafts to produce a keepsake as a remembrance of their animal adventure.
Winter Dogsledding*
