WINTER AT THE PEAK

Enjoy the snowy slopes of The Peak this winter at Nemacolin. The Peak is Western Pennsylvania’s ideal learning environment for first-time skiers, with 25 acres of fun, short lines, friendly trails, and experienced instructors.

Downhill skiing and snowboarding are available on six slopes, with slope difficulty ranging from beginner to expert. The Peak has a 300-foot vertical drop, two lifts, and is well-lit for nighttime skiing. Our professional staff is available for private lessons and ready to assist those in need. The Peak also has rental equipment available, leaving no excuses for mastering the mountain!

SNO-GO SKI BIKE

$60 for 2 hours / $85 for 4 hours

Lessons available for $130 per 1-hour lesson. Lift ticket is additional. The patented Sno-Go technology enables the motions of skiing with a lean on the bike’s handlebars. The bike can be loaded on and off the chairlift easily.

SKISKATES

$40 for adults, $33 for juniors. No children’s sizes available. Lift ticket is additional.

SNOWSHOEING

$26 per person

Float over the snow this winter. Snowshoe rentals are available. The trails include scenic views of the Laurel Highlands. Weather permitting, and a foot of natural snow is required. No lift ticket required.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

$26 per person

Cross-country skiing has been an event on the grounds of Nemacolin since the 1970s. The trails include gorgeous views of the Laurel Highlands. Rental equipment is available. Weather permitting, and a foot of natural snow is required. No lift ticket required.

SNOW TUBING

$39 per person. 2-hour sessions

Take a seat on specially designed tubes, cruise down one of six lanes on the 700-foot hill, then ride back to the top with your tube on the conveyor lift. Reservations required. Children ages 9+ must ride in a single tube. The minimum age is 3, and children 3-8 must be accompanied by an adult in a double tube. Ski boots are not permitted. Tubing availability is weather permitting. No lift ticket required.

SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS

The Peak offers a variety of programs for all ages. The Snow Sports Academy employs the finest professional PSIA-and AASI-certified instructors from all over the world. Our instructors offer skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country ski lessons. The only way to learn a lifelong sport is by taking lessons. It is highly recommended for guests to book a lesson with one of our professionals.

Private lessons are available every day skiing is open, by reservation. Lessons are available for any age, but it is recommended that children be at least four years old. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled private lesson in order to be checked in and properly fitted for equipment. Lessons will begin promptly at the top of the hour. Time extension will not be honored for late arrivals.

1-HOUR LESSON

$130 per lesson* $65 for each additional person

2-HOUR LESSON

$230 per lesson* $65 for each additional person

*Rentals are not included; maximum of three people per lesson. Lift ticket is additional. Lessons must be scheduled in advance. It is important to note that a 100% fee is charged for no-shows. Cancellations are required 24 hours prior to the lesson to avoid the 100% cancellation charge. Prices reflect the cost of the lesson, taxes, and gratuity for the instructor.

OUTDOOR ICE SKATING

$30 per person; complimentary for children 4 and under Slide and spin some wintry magic on the outdoor ice skating rink. Skate rental is included and balance aids are available for these 90-minute sessions located at The Peak.

COSMIC BOWLING

$15 per person/game

An indoor activity that the entire family can enjoy all year long — eight lanes of bowling will entertain your family and friends for hours.

AXE THROWING

$45.50 per person (one hour);

$25.50 per person (half hour)

Test your lumberjack skills as you swing, throw, and aim for the bullseye. Participants must be 12 or older; ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

JEEP OFF-ROAD DRIVING

INSTRUCTIONAL

$494 per vehicle

Take to the trails with up to four passengers as an experienced instructor guides you through the course and familiarizes you with the vehicle. Afterward, each willing passenger will have a chance to drive portions of the 20 miles of rugged terrain. Driving guests must present a valid driver’s license prior to the trip.

RIDE-ALONGS

$130 per vehicle

A 30-minute drive allows up to four guests to experience off-roading with an experienced driver. Start the experience on our rocks course before heading straight into the woods for some backcountry off-roading.

ZIP LINE

$100 per Person

Experience the thrill of soaring through the treetops with this exhilarating zip-line adventure. With two side-by-side zip lines on each of the two spans, you can race a friend across the first 1,380-foot zip line before reaching the second 700-foot stretch, while reaching speeds of 30-45 miles per hour. Weather permitting. Minimum height is 4’′and a weight of 75 lbs; maximum height is 6’ 7” and a weight of 260 lbs. Children between 4’′-4’ 7” must be accompanied by a parent or approved guardian.

HIGH ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE

$150 per person, per hour

Overlooking the Laurel Highlands with three off-theground levels of ropes and platforms reaching 52 feet into the air, you’ll find 36 new elements and varying levels of difficulty waiting to be overcome. Maximum weight: 260 lbs. Minimum height: 4’8”; under 4’8” requires adult accompaniment on the course; includes training and free roaming. Weather permitting.

LITTLE TYKES ROPES COURSE

$50 per person, per half hour

The Little Tykes Ropes Course is for those not yet big enough to climb the upper levels, yet it still provides them with a maximized climbing and an adventurous experience. Minimum height: 3’; Maximum height is 4’ 7”. Weather permitting.

CANOPY TOUR

$225 per person

Prepare for an adrenaline-fueled adventure with the Canopy Tour, where you’ll soar through treetops on the thrilling Zip Line, and tackle the heights of the High Ropes Challenge Course. Minimum height is 4’ 8” and a weight of 75 lbs; maximum height is 6’ 7” and a weight of 260 lbs. Children between 4’-4’ 7”″ must be accompanied by a parent or approved guardian.Weather permitting.

DINING AT THE PEAK

Recharge at The Peak with fresh, casual cuisine and breathtaking views. Enjoy inside, outside, fireside, or cabana dining and full beverage service, too.

POOLS AT THE PEAK

Splash in the year-round heated pools and hot tub while the snow falls. Changing rooms are available, and towels are provided.

CABANAS AT THE PEAK

Step into one of eight year-round, slope-side cabanas, just a splash away from the heated pool. Experience a full-service, heated cabana, and enjoy inside lounge furniture, a 55” TV, credenza, mini-fridge, charging area, premium robes, and a day of luxury. Accommodates 4-6 adults, plus children for a maximum of 8. $400, plus tax & gratuity, for a day’s rental; reservations required, and there is a $200 cancellation fee when canceled within 24 hours of the reservation.
