Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), in partnership with The Sullivan Alliance to Transform the Health Professions and with
the generous support of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, convened a conference to showcase best practices to advance diversity,
interprofessional education and practice in health care through pipeline-to-practice efforts in Ohio.
Since the conferece, NEOMED and Cleveland State University (CSU) have partnered with other higher education and health care institutions, clinical providers, businesses, communities and individuals to find solutions to meet the challenges of creating a more diverse health care workforce that cares for underserved populations. Through innovative health care workforce development, NEOMED and CSU seek to improve the health and economic vitality of the Northeast Ohio region. They are now expanding to include additional partners from around the state to form a true Ohio Alliance.
