Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu is a land where people speak an ancient 'living language' that dates back to over five thousand years. The literary phrase 'Thandamizh Veli Thamizh Nattagamellam’ (Paripadal) highlights the antiquity and pride of Tamil Nadu.
Stretching from Venkadam in the north to Kanyakumari in the south, Tamil Nadu boasts of it’s cultural richness and ancient heritage. This region is abundant in resources such as mountain wealth, marine wealth, and soil wealth, and it has an ancient tradition. It is not an exaggeration to say that Tamil Nadu has excelled in various fields, including literature, Siddha medicine, music, dance, folk arts, martial arts, painting, sculpture, sports, philosophy, customs, rituals, science, and technology, from ancient times to the present day
Tiruchirappalli
Tiruchirappalli, located on the banks of the Kaveri River, is a city rich in history and antiquity It was the capital of the early Chola dynasty during the Sangam period. Artifacts discovered through excavations at Uraiyur reveal trade connections with Rome and Uraiyur. According to the traveller Ptolemy, the silk garments in Uraiyur were as delicate as a snake's skin and like the clouds. The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), located in Tiruchirappalli, fulfills a significant portion of India's energy equipment and production capital needs. Numerous commercial establishments are situated here.
Rock Fort is a complex that features a fort and a temple built on an ancient rocky hill. Its height is 275 feet.

From the Sangam period to the British era, rulers have chosen Tiruchirappalli as the place to declare their authority to the world. Rock Fort serves as a symbol of Trichy. Among
the rock-cut caves in Trichy's Rock Fort, the Lower Cave Temple stands out for its architectural excellence.
Behind the Uchippillaiyar temple, there are rock-cut beds used by Jain monks, measuring four feet in length one and a half feet in width. They are older than the Himalayas in terms of age. The temple built on two levels of rocks above this hill is a unique structure found nowhere else in the world.

It is additionally remarkable that this is the oldest dam in the world still in use today. Literary works such as the 'Porunaratruppadai' and 'Pattinappalai,' along with inscriptions and records from Thiruvalankadu, speak about the Kallanai, which harnesses floodwaters for irrigation.
