Vision 2032

By 2032 Nepal scouts will be the preferred youth movement with 7,00,000 young members Nationwide, which is well managed, Self-dependent and supported by competent leaders for the development of young people with their active involvement in decision making level.

Strategic Priority Areas

Adults-in-Scouting

The priority focuses on e昀昀ective implementation of National Adult Development Policy ensuring competent and motivated leaders as per the requirement are available at all levels and in all roles.

Good Governance

The priority area focuses on transparency, accountability, responsive, fully constituted, and functional association at all levels, delivering quality Scouting in respective areas of operation as per the laid rules/procedures.

Resources Development & Management

Nepal Scouts to ensure e昀케cient management of assets at all levels, explore new source of revenue, partnerships and further strengthen the available revenue centers toward association’s self-reliance.

Communication

This strategic priority will ensure the development & Implementation of communication Policy and emphasis on the e昀昀ective communication with all stakeholders adopting impactful methods, brand promotion & protection.

Membership Growth

This priority focuses on increasing membership towards achieving the vision 2032 by implementing e昀케cient growth strategy, ensuring reaching to all segments of society and making Scouting easily accessible to every willing young person

Youth Program

Nepal Scouts should ensure the youth program is vibrant and relevant to current youth trends and is e昀昀ectively implemented providing safe environment in all Scouting activities, ensuring inclusiveness (gender, etc).

Dear Scouts, Volunteers, Partners, and Supporters,

It is with great pleasure and a sense of immense pride that I present to you the Annual Report of Nepal Scouts for the year 2022-2023. This report highlights our collective accomplishments, challenges, and the unwavering commitment of our dedicated scouts and volunteers towards our shared vision of creating a better future for our nation aligned with our vision 2032.

Over the past year, Nepal Scouts has continued to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for young people across the country. Our organization has steadfastly embraced the principles of scouting, empowering our youth and young people with essential life skills, fostering leadership development, and promoting a sense of community engagement. In doing so, we have played a pivotal role in shaping the character and values of countless individuals, enabling them to become responsible citizens and change-makers.

Despite the numerous hurdles posed by the global pandemic, our scouts and volunteers have demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability. They have diligently carried out community-based initiatives, addressing critical issues such as environmental conservation, disaster preparedness, and social development. Through our various programs, we have reached remote and marginalized communities, ensuring that no one is left behind in our quest for a just and inclusive society.

This year has also witnessed the strengthening of our partnerships with Government of Nepal, WOSM & WAGGGS, UN agencies, nonprofit organizations, and corporate entities. Collaborative efforts have enabled us to expand our reach, share resources, and amplify the impact of our initiatives. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our partners for their unwavering support and belief in our mission. Together, we have tried to accomplished remarkable feats and created lasting change in the lives of individuals and communities alike. In the pursuit of excellence, Nepal Scouts has taken significant strides towards enhancing our organizational capacity. We have invested in the training and development of our volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage with our scouts and deliver transformative programs. Additionally, we have embraced technology to streamline our operations, improve communication, and enhance our overall efficiency. I am so proud to inform you that this year we did the WOSM Quality Standard Assessment (GSAT) and able to standardize Nepal Scouts as an international standard organization, which also shows the improvement in the good governance in our organization.

As we reflect on the achievements of the past year, we are acutely aware of the challenges that lie ahead. Nepal Scouts is committed to adapting to evolving needs and demands, continuously exploring innovative approaches, and forging new partnerships to address emerging issues. Our steadfast commitment to scouting values and our unwavering belief in the potential of our youth and young people will continue to drive us forward.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to our dedicated board members, hardworking staff, Committed volunteers, and amazing scouts for their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the ideals of scouting in Nepal to achieve our Vision 2032. Your passion, dedication, and selfless service have been instrumental in propelling Nepal Scouts towards new heights.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the families and communities who have supported our scouts and volunteers throughout their journey. Your encouragement and belief in our mission have played a vital role in shaping the future leaders of our nation.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge our scouts, the true ambassadors of change. Your enthusiasm, courage, and commitment to making a positive difference inspire us all. As the future torchbearers of our nation, you embody the spirit of scouting and serve as beacons of hope in a rapidly changing world.
