BEST CONCERT VENUE The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts is the place to see some of the top entertainment acts and concerts in Branson. From world-class concert events, award winning Broadway productions and cultural theatre experiences, the Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts won’t disappoint. They were voted “Best Concert Venue” for the fifth year in a row in The Best of Branson contest. Kristy Adams, Vice President of Operations/ Sales and Marketing, was excited to discover The Mansion Theatre again nabbed top honors for the fifth time. The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts is unique among the other theatres in Branson. Not only are they the largest, but they also have community events and festivals on the schedule throughout the year making it a true down-home destination. Adams explained, “we are a premier entertainment venue and we operate

January through December. We are sort of like a convention center on steroids because we have the theatre aspect.” “The Mansion has focused over the last few years only on concerts,” she said of the 3,000-seat state-ofthe-art theatre. “We operate like a roadhouse. We can switch out shows nightly if we need to. That makes us really skilled at bringing in national touring shows. It also reminds people in the industry that Branson may be a small Ozarks town, but we can handle major shows.” Many of the entertainment industry’s top touring acts make The Mansion Theatre a regular stop, including The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Fortune, Home Free, Texas Hill, Gene Watson, Dennis Quaid and The Sharks, The Bellamy Brothers, Daniel O’Donnell, and The Gatlin Brothers. The Mansion Theatre has also focused on bringing Broadway to Branson with Disney Princess: The Concert, The Simon & Garfunkel Story and Billy Joel’s “Movin’ Out” starring Michael Cavanaugh. During the Christmas season, The Gatlin Brothers will entertain crowds with their Country and Christmas show performing their hit songs and some Christmas classics. Home Free returns to Branson with their Family Christmas Tour with special guest Texas Hill and Caroline Jones. He also spent 17 years with Silver Dollar City, producing shows and events.
Melody Hart was raised on a farm and drove tractors as a youngster helping her father. During those years she was exposed to good old fashioned country music. By age 14, she was playing fiddle and singing harmony. Melody made her way to Branson in 1989, joined the Plummer Family Country Music Show, and almost overnight was working non stop. Through the years she been a big part of Branson’s entertainment industry performing on the biggest stages in town.
