An initiative of the Department for Communities, Creativity Month is held to stimulate new thinking and help creative people, creative ideas and creative businesses emerge and flourish. Creativity Month 2018 will showcase the work of a diverse range of organisations, across government, business, education and the community and voluntary sectors, who are developing creative and innovative solutions to societal challenges. The key theme of this year’s initiative is careers in the Creative Industries and skills. Taking children’s invention ideas and making them a reality! Nerve Centre has been working with over 250 young people from local primary schools to inspire and support their wonderful imaginations. Libraries across NI March 1 — 31

A targeted programme to promote and encourage engagement with the Television and Film Industry. Two Writers in Residence will deliver a number or workshops, information talks with Q&A sessions and 1-2-1 clinics in venues around the province. The primary focus will be to give children aged 14 – 16 more information about this industry as a potential career choice but there will also be sessions open to adults who wish to find out about a more creative career path.
