This year’s young artists perform a diverse programme of music. There will also be a presentation of a number of awards and bursaries by the Flax Trust, The Ireland Fund of France and the Alan Gillespie Ulster Bank Award. This is a great opportunity to hear some of our best young musicians, many of whom go on to solo careers or play with Camerata Ireland.

Five Fables, translated by Seamus Heaney, was recently animated for an enchanting BBC Northern Ireland series. The superb score for chamber orchestra is composed and conducted by Barry Douglas. In this unique event Barry, along with players from Camerata Ireland will play the score alongside a screening of the animations with special guest stars narrating. 6th August – 5th September This year’s Clandeboye Festival Loan Exhibition is “Irish Women Artists 1870 - 1970” and as in previous years will be a roll call of museum quality works all drawn from Private Collections from North and South of the border. It includes works by Sarah Purser, Mary Swanzy, Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Norah McGuinness and Camille Souter to name but a few. There will be 70 museum quality works on show at the Ava Gallery, our biggest show to date. It will show how women artists were to the forefront of modernism in Irish art from the very beginning. Mon - Fri 11am to 5pm, with special late/ weekend openings during the Clandeboye Festival.
