Our annual Belfast Children’s Festival is back for its 19th year to light up the city with a colourful array of the very best in local and international art and performance to inspire joy, creativity and curiosity in our capital city.

The grown up version has been packing out the Green Room every month for five years, but once a year we get four of our best magicians to thrill you with their skills on the stage, as well as showing you some close up tricks from the comfort of your own chair.

An exhibition exploring a child’s eye view of the city. Ann Donnelly used photography to start conversations with P4 children from Cliftonville Integrated Primary School about their local environment, inspiring artwork that is strongly connected with the Belfast cityscape.

Explore the vibrant backstreets of the Cathedral Quarter, meet some of the artists who have transformed the area and see them at work. Learn about all the different techniques and you might even get to do a bit of street art yourself.

The dramatic story of Ernst, a six-year-old boy evacuated to the countryside from Frankfurt in World War II. When the war ends Ernst finds himself alone with no idea how to get home again. When all seems lost a mysterious stranger comes to his aid; a man who knows the true value of magic.
