Where I’m From I am from mismatched red brick, From tree houses and swings, I am from the five hundred races, From Super Bowl Champs and Church every Sunday, I am from the last decade before the new millennium, From animals that can talk, but only if you want to hear them, I am from trump and bowers, From nicknames like Nezi, Nesbitt, the Nezinator, and Nez the Fez, I am from dribbling, shooting, and knockout games that never end, From spinning across a circle and exploding at the end, I am from hot summer days and little kids calling you by a name other than your own, From a Raider to a Rebel, I ma from the bright spotlight to the bright sunlight, From your mom, go meat, berries and cream, shirts that yell, and little green frogs, I am from a gunfighter named Paladin, From the Boy Who Lived with the lightning shaped scar, I am from Football Honorable Mention and straight A’s, From the human dictionary and the failure, to the spell and grammar checker but not on the computer, I am from Buckwheat, Tigger, and Tammy, From Civil War sets, a mouse that lives in Florida, and a silly old bear, I am from umbrellas and big girls that don’t cry, From nurses, lawyers, pharmacists, doctors, dentists, and great expectations, I am from the inventor of the steamboat, From the starter of Quakers in the New World, now my home, I am from me.
