HI! I’m Vanessa. I’m a Web Designer, I learn fast and I’m always looking foward to improve my skills with each challenge and project. I work well in groups and solo. I graduated in Design, learning something that I find as a very important “rule” for me as a Designer: less is more. Over the years I came to learn that if you love what you do, you do it even better. So I, a born nerd and gamer, found myself since little taking a pencil and drawing my favorite anime characters and always trying to learn new skills in an early age such as programns like Photoshop and even Front Page (at the time I was only 16). And recently I re-discover my passion: Web Design from its core (design and development), but never leaving behind my love of drawing. Aside from that I also enjoy doing 3D Models, Brand Design, App Design & Edditing Videos.

Audaciuex & Savage was an exhibition about the wild and bold fashion designers Betsey Johnson & Vivienne Westwood. Both started in the same years and both had a great influence in the fashion industry on their own country. Both young in spirit, moved to shock and amaze whoever sees their fashion shows. eventexplore was a social event app, where the user could see all the information, schedules, price lists and leave a little review of an event and share with friends or invite them to such an event. Manage & add events to a personal profile enabling to keep on track of daily events trought a calendar. In each event there was an option of directions to link to a GPS. Theme: movies, exhibitons, cons, theater, shows. Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop

EVENTEXPLORE WEBSITE LSD Final Project (Web Development), 2014

eventexplore website is a transition from the previous app. The essence is the same, where the user can see all the information, schedules, price lists and leave a little review of an event and share with friends or invite them to such an event. Manage & add events to a personal profile enabling to keep on track of daily events. Creat new events and search for a desired event. Theme: japanese animation, manga, cartoons, cosplay, games, responsive & interactive. Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, Sublime Text, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript. A clean, simple fully responsive website with Register Page, database for users/new users, Event page with database for events, interlinking both databases with user/event Interests/event type. Friend list/request. A search page with 2 types of search, by location or by interest/event type. Fully maximizing the knowledge adquire from the course in HTML, CSS and PHP.

CODENAME : Celecis Programação e Inteligência Digital Final Project (Web Development), 2016

CODENAME was the name i gave the project: it consisted in doing 3 websites in one using the same CSS classes for all of them but adding diferent elements in each one. The themes were: CV page, City you were born & Favorite Band. Theme: one page, curriculum, Lisbon, PJ, interactive. Tools: Photoshop, Sublime Text, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript. The ‘Curriculum Page’ had to inclue: a table. The ‘City you were born’ had to inclue: a gallery (using bxslider). The ‘Favorite Band’ had to inclue: link to other pages with lyrics and video. I also inclued an interactive menu using Javascript. All the above have a slider effect on the links & I also inclued myself some CSS hover animations.

VERTICECONCEPT is a company formed by professionals in the field of Construction and Architecture in the market for public and private works. Theme: responsive, modern, clean, architecture. Tools: Photoshop, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript. Work: Implementing images for the slider & carousel, text, implementing new animation on the ABOUT page with CSS, creating the icons for the SERVICES page, fixing bugs in layout & adaptive layout (CSS), fixing animations (JS), but the most important thing was creating a user friendly & simple database for the PORTFOLIO and BLOG page (PHP), so that there is no future need of the web developer. (this is an original layout, i did not creat the original, just what was described).

JosĂŠ Morgado Engenharia is a company formed by professionals in the field of Construction Engineering, they provide services such as Real Estate Appraisals, Energy Certifications & Fire Safety. Theme: responsive, simple, construction engineering, static, coorporate. Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, JS & Jquery. Work: It was defined as the main objective to design a website as simple as possible, so that users could seek information about the company, location, hours of operation and services available. All images, incluiding logo were made/modified by me, including the Icons and header images on the services pages.

CASCA RIJA Wordpress Store, 2016

Casca Rija is an online store made in wordpress. Theme: responsive, simple, CMS, online store, peanut butter. Tools: Wordpress, CSS, PHP. Work: Casca Rija is a child theme from Confit. The Confit theme had a simple responsive menu and a sidebar that I changed to adjust to the clients design desire. The theme however is not supported by Woocommerce, but I changed all the necessary CSS and PHP files to make it responsive and with 0 errors. Also, the store uses the Lingotek Pluggin, making the website suitable for multiple languages. Due to that, there were some issues regarding permalinks and redirections that I had to manually correct using PHP, adding a functions.php file. Allows the user to pay via easypay or direct transfer.

ANPRINO Design project 2017

ANPRINO is a design project for the promotion of the Anprino project. Theme: anpri, anprino, robotics, 3D printing, arduino. Tools: Wordpress, CSS, PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR. Work: Created a simple logo for ANPRINO, model documents for presentations, promotional items, such as: flyers, images, packaging for the robot Anprino, Resistance Color Code & Resistance Code Calculator images. Updated the ANPRINO website. Also did stand-ups, rolls-ups, a folder and images for ANPRI (Associação Nacional de Professores de Informática) use. Attended some conventions to learn more about the robot and the 3D printing process as well as the programing basic in Scratch. ANPRINO: 3D printing + Programing + Arduino.

Studying the construction of each and single component part of a cigarette rolling machine to understand and comprehend the making process of making such object. Each and single part was made in different files. Theme: tobacco. Tools: SOLID WORKS.
