Collaboration

We work with other interested parties and stakeholders to contribute to the betterment of behavioral health systems and programs in the community.

Trauma Sensitive

We understand, anticipate, and respond to the needs of those who have experienced trauma, by providing a comforting and safe treatment environment, promoting selfempowerment of the client.

Cultural Awareness and Relevancy

We understand and address the role of race and implicit biases, how these can affect client and staff behaviors, attitudes, and responses, and how these can impact staff interactions with clients and with each other.

MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP

2023, as we thought it would be, proved to be a year of transition at Netcare. Having ended our 24/7/365 walk in crisis services about a month prior to the new year, 2023 was when we needed to put the plan about our path forward into action. There is often a good amount of concern -- if not fear -involved in change, and that was certainly on our minds and in our hearts as our metamorphosis took place I am proud to say that our staff of about 240 took the challenge head-on, and that it yielded the benefits we hoped it would and more

Please read on for more details – but, in brief, you will see that we handled 30,000 more calls/texts/chats than the year before, launched outpatient services after a quarter-century hiatus, and brought the balance of our funding sources more even than it had been in years. That is to say nothing of further refining the service model of our Community Mobile Team, continuing the significant interior and exterior refurbishment of Miles House, and other things too numerous to mention here.

The Netcare Foundation also made a change in one of its premier fundraising events. After decades of an all-day golf tournament, we acted on feedback that indicated that – with people seemingly busier than ever before – we should continue our tradition of a golf event but bring it more current. We did just that, and have been thrilled with how an after-work event at TopGolf Columbus has made an opportunity to support the work we do more accessible to golfers and nongolfers alike.

As always, a huge thank you to all who take an interest in what we do I am already looking forward to telling you about 2024!

He arrived at Miles House feeling hopeless and overwhelmed with life's challenges, seeking someone to lean on. Bryan left Miles House with renewed hope, ready to pursue his dream of living a stable life. He knows that he may face difficulties in the future, but he now feels prepared to work through them. Kurdeliah grew up in Child Protective Services, constantly going in and out of foster care and mental health facilities from the ages of three months to twenty-one.
