lo sguardo verso il 2012 Twentyfirst chiude il 2011 presentando tre nuovi prodotti. A PACIFICO TABLE e BEATO Pouf si aggiunge il loro fratello maggiore, SERENO Chair, particolare seduta di grande formato che idealmente completa questo ciclo iconico, concludendo la riflessione aziendale sull’ “oggetto come opera d’arte”. Happy Hour Cross, lounge system, è divenuto una realtà. Un prodotto che riapre la mai conclusa ricerca della’azienda nell’ambito dell’opendoor, questa volta con risultati sorprendenti. Nelle varie situazioni in cui HHC è stata inserita ha dimostrato una sorprendente flessibilità e adattabilità alle diverse situazioni, grazie alle infinite possibilità di composizione che la sua particolare forma permette. Altri due progetti importanti ormai giunti al traguardo sono la libreria MeTa e la seduta John. La libreria Meta si caratterizza per le sue forme asimmetriche e per la sua spiccata dinamicità, la seduta John reinterpreta la funzionalità della sedia. Grazie ad un piccolo ripiano posto sullo schienale, soddisfa a pieno la necessità di posare un cocktail, riporre un libro o ciò che il quel momento si ha tra le mani.
_ Le regard vers le 2012 TwentyFirst ferme le 2011 en présentant trois nouveaux produits. A Pacifico table et à Beato pouf s’ajoute son frère aîné, Sereno CHAISE, extraordinaire chaise de grande taille qui, idéalement complète ce cycle ionien, en concluant la réflexion de l’entreprise sur “l’objet comme une oeuvre d’art.” HAPPY HOUR CROSS, lounge system, est devenu une réalité. Un produit qui ouvre la jamais conclu recherche de l’entreprise dans le secteur de l’opendoor, cette fois avec des résultats surprenants. Dans les différentes situations dans
lesquelles HHC a été inséré a montré une flexibilité étonnante et d’adaptabilité aux différentes situations, grâce aux possibilités infinies de composition qui sa forme spécifique permet. Deux autres grands projets ont désormais arrivés à la ligne d’arrivée, la bibliothèque META et la chaise JOHN. La bibliothèque META se caractérise par ses formes asymétriques et pour son dynamisme, la chaise JOHN réinterprète la fonctionnalité de la chaise. Grâce à une petit rayon sur le dossier arrière, satisfait pleinement la nécessité de poser un cocktail, un magasin, un livre ou ce que en ce moment vous avez dans vos mains.
_ Looking towards 2012 Twentyfirst will close out 2011 by presenting three new products. Alongside Pacifico Table and Beato Pouf we’ve now added an older brother, Sereno Chair, which is a special large format seat that serves to complete this tongue-in-cheek set of furnishings. It is the conclusion of our musings on “objects as works of art”. HAPPY HOUR CROSS, the lounge system, is now a reality. It’s a product that delves once again into the company’s desire for open door solutions. This time we’ve had surprising results. HHC has demonstrated a surprising flexibility and adaptability to various situations, thanks to the infinite number of compositions that its particular shape permits. Two other important projects that are now at the finish line are the META bookcase and the JOHN chair. The META bookcase features an asymmetrical shape and a remarkable dynamism. The JOHN chair reinterprets a chair’s functionality. The small shelf on the seat’s back is a great place to put your cocktail, your book, or anything else you may be holding.

Jamiroquai, Alessandra Amoroso, James Taylor, Giovanni Allevi, Modà, Elton John, Cesare Cremonini, Jovanotti, sono alcuni dei grandi nomi che si sono esibiti. Twentyfirst ha messo a disposizione alcuni dei suoi pezzi “cult”. _ La historique villa Contarini-Camerini du XVIIe siècle à Piazzola sul Brenta devient, comme d’habitude, une scène internationale en direct de la musique. Jamiroquai, Alessandra Amoroso, James Taylor, Giovanni Allevi, la mode, Elton John, Cesare Cremonini, Jovanotti, sont quelques-uns des grands noms qui ont accompli. TwentyFirst a mis à disposition certaines de ses models “cult”. _ In Piazzola sul Brenta, the historic 17th century Contarini‐Camerini villa hosted a live international musical event. Jamiroquai, Alessandra Amoroso, James Taylor, Giovanni Allevi, Modà, Elton John, Cesare Cremonini, and Jovanotti, were some of the big names who performed. And Twentyfirst placed a selection of “cult” pieces at the show.

Ciò che immediatamente stupisce di Happy Hour Cross è la sua estrema capacità di adattarsi agli spazi, la possibilità di comporre la “zona lounge” in libertà, ripensando spazi e luoghi della convivialità, per proporre situazioni e allestimenti sempre nuovi. Un design intelligente che grazie alle sue linee sobrie e minimali garantisce la massima integrazione con il paesaggio circostante. HHC rappresenta l’esaltazione di uno degli aspetti fondamentali della filosofia Twentyfirst: la modularità. Proponiamo in queste illustrazioni alcune delle sue possibili composizioni.
_ Ce que immédiatement surpris de HAPPY HOUR CROSS, c’est sa capacité à s’adapter aux extrêmes de l’espace, la possibilité de composer l’ “aire lounge” en liberté, en évoquant espaces et lieux de convivialité, pour proposer des situations et aménagement toujours nouveaux. Une design intelligent, qui grâce à ses lignes épurées et minimales garantie un intégration maximale avec l’environnement. HHC est l’exaltation de l’un des aspects fondamentaux de la philosophie 21st Livingart: la modularité. Nous proposons dans ces illustrations certaines de ses compositions possibles.
_ What immediately surprises people about HAPPY HOUR CROSS is its amazing flexibility. The lounge area can be freely arranged and utilized to rethink a space. Each arrangement is a new social setting. It has been designed intelligently, with its sombre and minimal lines, making it fit right in with the surrounding landscape. HHC is the epitome of one of the fundamental aspects of Twentyfirst’s underlying philosophy: modularity. A few of the many arrangements are shown in these illustrations.

Gli HHC, inizialmente disposti all’interno del collonnato della villa, vengono agevolmente riposizionati nella zona outdoor durante la vernice della mostra. Un esempio dell’estrema adattabilità del prodotto in di diversi contesti e necessità.
_ Quelques photos de la cérémonie d’ouverture de l’exposition tenue en mai de Raba Rama à la Galeries d’art Vecchiato Art Galleries, à Florence. Le HHC, initialement placée dans la colonnade de la villa, sont facilement repositionné dans l’espace extérieur lors de l’ouverture de l’exposition. Un exemple de l’extrême adaptabilité du produit dans différents contextes et besoins.
_ Here are some pictures of the opening ceremony of RABA RAMA exhibition held in May at the Vecchiato Art Galleries in Florence. The HHC, initially placed inside the column of the villa, are easily repositioned in the outdoors during The varnishing moment of the exhibition. This is an example of the extreme adaptability of the product to different contexts and needs.

twentifirst design magazine 0.3.1 SPECIAL ISSUE M&O Meta _ bookcase Meta è una libreria, il traguardo di un libro dall’autore al lettore. A volte l’eccezionalità di un oggetto sta nell’idea progettuale, nella novità, nella funzione o nei nuovi comportamenti che esso induce. In questo caso Mario Mazzer crea per Twentyfirst una libreria dall’aspetto solido e sobrio. La sovrapposizione, a parziale compenetrazione e traslazione di tre parallelepipedi frontalmente cavi, è caratterizzata da una forma asimmetrica, dinamica e di forte personalità. Un progetto dunque che coniuga forme geometriche ma sinuose e alta tecnologia. E’ ottenuta da uno stampaggio rotazionale e disponibile in diversi colori.
META _ bibliothèque Meta est une bibliothèque, le but d’un livre par l’auteur au lecteur. Parfois, le design exceptionnel d’un objet est dans l’idée, la nouveauté, la nouvelle fonctionnalité ou un comportement qu’il induit. Mario Mazzer dans ce cas crée par 21st Livingart une bibliothèque avec un aspect de solide et sobre . La superposition,
se caractérise par une forme asymétrique, dynamique et de forte personnalité . Un projet donc qui combine des formes géométriques mais sinueuse et technique élevé. Elle est «obtenu à partir d’un moulage par rotation, et disponible en différentes couleurs.
META _ bookcase Meta is a bookcase. It is like a finish line that connects the author with the reader. Sometimes the exceptional nature of an object lies in the initial idea, its novelty, its function, or the new behaviours that are brought about by it. In this case, Mario Mazzer has created a solid and serious bookcase for Twentyfirst. The overlap, and partial penetration and transferring of three parallelepiped shapes, which are hollow in the front, has an asymmetrical, dynamic shape with a strong personality. It is, therefore, a design that mixes geometry and curves with high technology. The product is obtained by a rotating moulding and available in different colours.

JOHN _ chair Mario Mazzer crea per Twentyfirst una sedia reinventandone la funzionalità. In quanti modi si può usare una sedia? Ci si può sedere, appoggiare, sostenere, dondolare, ma una volta fatte queste azioni ci possiamo riporre qualcosa? John, grazie ad un piccolo ripiano posto sullo schienale, soddisfa a pieno la necessità di posare un cocktail, riporre un libro o ciò che il quel momento si ha tra le mani. Diviene un comodo tavolino per un aperitivo all’aperto, un leggio, una pratica work station per un tablet. Un altro passo avanti di Twentyfirst nella ricerca della reinterpretazione della funzionalità degli oggetti.

Devient une table confortable pour boire un verre, un pupitre, une pratique work station de travail pour un tablet. Un autre pas en avant de 21st Livingart dans la recherche de la réinterprétation de la fonctionnalité des objets.
JOHN _ chair Mario Mazzer has created a chair with a new functionality for Twentyfirst. In how many ways you can use a chair? You can sit, lean, support, and swing. But where do you put your drink? John has a small shelf on the seat back that lets you place your cocktail, your book, or anything else you may have in your hands. It becomes a convenient table for an outdoor aperitif, a lectern, or a practical work station for a laptop or tablet. It’s just one step forward Twentyfirst’s quest to reinterpret the functionality of different objects.
design by: MARIO MAZZER Nasce nel 1955. Nel ‘78 si laurea in architettura al Politecnico di Milano e nel ‘79 in industrial design. Collabora con i maestri Achille Castiglioni e Marco Zanuso. Partecipa a convegni e conferenze ed espone in musei e mostre di design. Ha ricevuto menzioni speciali nel ’88 e nel ‘89 al concorso Young & Design, che ha vinto nel ‘91. Nel 1996 riceve una menzione d’onore ID Annual Design Review. I suoi prodotti sono stati selezionati più volte nell’ ADI Design Index e nell’ International Design Yearbook. Nel 2001 esce la sua monografia edita dalla Biblioteca dell’Immagine: Thinking about Things: Mario Mazzer designer. Nel 2006 e 2007 riceve la menzione speciale al Concorso Riabita. Riceve il Good Design 2009 per OLA / Martex che vince anche il Red Dot 2010. In questa edizione riceve inoltre, il premio per il caminetto TUBE / Acquaefuoco e per la tenda SHAN / Shadelab. Nel 2011 vince il Good Design con BABELE di Bonaldo. Collabora o ha collaborato con le più importanti aziende dell’arredo. E’ membro ADI e BEDA. Nell’architettura restaura o progetta edifici residenziali, commerciali, direzionali sia in Italia sia all’estero. I suoi progetti sono continuamente pubblicati in numerose riviste internazionali.

Born in 1955, Mario Mazzer received his degree in Architecture from the Politecnico of Milan in 1978 and in Industrial Design in 1979. He collaborates with Maestri Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso. Mazzer participates in conventions, conferences and exhibits in museums and design exhibitions. He received special mentions in 1988 and 1989 at the Young and Design contest, which he won in 1991. In 1996, he received the iD annual Design Review honourable mention. His new products have been selected many times by the ADi Design Index and the International Design Yearbook. In 2001, his monograph, “Thinking About Things: Mario Mazzer designer” was published by the Biblioteca dell’Immagine. In 2006 and 2007, he received a special mention at the Riabita competition. He received the 2009 Good Design award for Ola / Martex, which also won the 2010 Red Dot. During that edition he also received the award for the Tube / Acquaefuoco fi replace and for the Shan / Shadelab awning. In 2011 he won the Good Design award with Babele by Bonaldo. He works with or has worked with the most important furniture companies. Member of ADi and BeDa. He also restores or designs residences, commercial buildings, and management offi ces in Italy and abroad. His projects are continuously published in a variety International magazines.

SAPORI E LIFESTYLE D’ITALIA
Dal 27 al 29 maggio 2011 si è svolta presso il meraviglioso castello olandese De Haar la seconda edizione dell’evento dedicato a Sapori e Lifestyle d’Italia. Scopo dell’evento è presentare il meglio dell‘Italia nei campi di Moda, Design, Vacanze, Lifestyle e Gastronomia. Una grande festa per inaugurare l’arrivo della bella stagione. Twentyfirst ha partecipato all’evento con Pacifico coffee table & Beato pouf e il tavolino Nanà come simbolo della “Bella Vita” italiana nel mondo. SAVEURS ET LIFESTYLE D’ITALIE Du 27 à 29 mai 2011 a eu lieu chez le merveilleux Château hollandais De Haar, la deuxième édition de l’événement dédié au goût et style de vie de l’Italie. Le but de l’événement été de présenter le meilleur de l’Italie dans les domaines de la mode, design, vacances, style de vie et de la Gastronomie. Une grande fête pour inaugurer l’arrivée de l’été. TwentyFirst assisté avec Pacific coffe table & Beato pouf et la petite table Nanà comme symbole de la “Bella Vita” italienne dans le monde. ITALIAN TASTES AND LIFESTYLE From May 27th to 29th, 2011, at the marvellous De Haar Castle in the Netherlands, the second edition of the event dedicated to Italian Tastes and Lifestyle was held. The purpose of the event was to present the very best Italy has to offer in the fields of fashion, design, getaways, lifestyle, and cuisine. It was a grand feast that welcomed the arrival of summer. Twentyfirst was in attendance with the Pacifico coffee table and the Beato pouf as well as the Nanà table as symbols of Italian “Bella Vita”.

SERENO Moredesign ha ideato per Twentyfirst una scultura, un’originale seduta di grande formato che completa la ricerca iniziata con Beato pouf e Pacifico table. Sereno riprende le forme antropomorfiche del pouf e del tavolo, fornendo però una seduta ampia e confortevole. Perfetto per un cocktail all’aperto, diviene il luogo ideale per conversare e godere a pieno della magica atmosfera notturna lungo la spiaggia. Sereno può essere pensato anche come “opera d’arte” che ridisegna e reinterpreta il paesaggio circostante. Un messaggio di quiete, meditazione e protezione tramite l’espressione di una figura realizzata con materiali e tecnologie innovative ma con lo spirito di tempi antichi e misteriosi.
SERENO_chaise Moredesign a conçu pour 21st Livingart une sculpture, une assise originale de grand format qui complète la recherche commencé avec Beato pouf et Pacifique table. Sereno reprend les formes anthropomorphes du pouf et de la table, mais en donnant une assise large et confortable. Parfait pour boire un verre à l’extérieur, devient un lieu idéal pour converser et pour profiter pleinement de
la magique atmosphère nocturne long la plage. Sereno peut être pensé comme une «oeuvre d’art» qui redéfinit et réinterprète le paysage environnant. Un message de paix, de méditation et de la protection à travers l’expression d’une figure faite de matériaux et de technologies innovantes, mais avec l’esprit des temps anciens et mystérieux.
SERENO_chair Moredesign has designed a true sculpture for Twentyfirst. It is an original large format chair that completes the line of thinking that created Beato Pouf and Pacifico Table. Sereno has the same anthropomorphic lines of the pouf and the table but with a spacious and comfortable seat. It is perfect for a cocktail outdoors, and becomes the ideal conversation spot, where you can enjoy the magical night-time ambiance of the beach. Sereno is “artwork” that is utilized to rethink and reinvent the surrounding landscaping. With it comes a message of peace, meditation and protection; its lines are designed with innovative materials and technologies but with the spirit of ancient and mysterious times.

Il team composto da Alessandro Morello e Riccardo Bertolla senior industrial designer, Paola Zanovello fashion designer e consolidati collaboratori permettono di affrontare importanti progetti di industrial design, rivolti ad un mercato globale capace di trasformare in stimolo quello che lo circonda. Accoglie con entusiasmo nuove sfide e interpreta le esigenze dell’individuo semplificando il rapporto tra uomo e oggetto perché “il design è di tutti”, visualizza l’innovazione delle forme stringendo il binomio designer-azienda dando garanzia del risultato finale. Le molteplici esperienze in settori diversi dal giocattolo all’automotive, dagli sport invernali alla prima infanzia, dalla moda al complemento d’arredo, gli consente di seguire “ogni” tipologia di prodotto ed essere un ottimo partner in outsourcing per le aziende. Tappe significative: co-design con brand internazionali della calzatura e occhialeria, collabora con lo studio di architettura Gris partecipando attivamente al concept creativo per jet privati ed è ben inserito nel mondo dell’arredamento e illuminazione.
Alessandro Morello decided to make his own dreams come true by founding Moredesign in Padua in 2006. The team that was put together by Alessandro Morello and Riccardo Bertolla, senior Industrial Designer, Paola Zanovello, Fashion Designer, along with experienced collaborators allowed the new-found company to take on important industrial design projects for a global market, able to transform what surrounds us into a stimulus for new designs. The firm is enthused by new challenges and interprets individual needs by simplifying the relationship between man and object. Because “design is for everyone”. It visualizes innovation of shapes by first strengthening the designer-company bond, bringing about a true guarantee of final results. The many experiences in different industries, from toys to automotive, from winter sports to baby products, from fashion to furnishing complements, allows the company to be able to work with “any and every” product type and to be an excellent outsourcing partner for companies. Significant milestones: co-design with international shoe and eyewear brands. Collaborated with Gris architecture firm by participating in the creative concept for private jets. Very active in the world of furnishings and lighting.

Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica Si svolgerà al Lido di Venezia dal 31 agosto al 10 settembre 2011 la Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica organizzata dalla Biennale di Venezia. La Mostra vuole favorire la conoscenza e la diffusione del cinema internazionale in tutte le sue forme di arte, di spettacolo e di industria, in uno spirito di libertà e di tolleranza. La Mostra include retrospettive e omaggi a personalità di rilievo, come contributo a una migliore conoscenza della storia del cinema. TWENTYFIRST esporrà i suoi prodotti in una terrazza di 330 m2 che si affaccia sulla spiaggia del Lido di Venezia. Sarà presente con alcuni pezzi “artistici” che ben si prestano a promuovere lo spirito di libertà e tolleranza, come Pacifico e Beato progettati da Moredesign. Altre forme “cult” della Collezione Twentyfirst abbelliranno l’ampia Terrazza Mediterranea sul lungomare veneziano, tra cui i Caprice illuminati e le nuove HHC disegnate da Marco Cocco. 68. Festival International du Cinema Aura lieu au Lido de Venise du 31 août au 10 Septembre 2011 le Festival international du film organisé par la Biennale de Venise. L’exposition veut favoriser la sensibilisation et la diffusion du cinéma international sous toutes ses formes d’art, le divertissement et l’industrie, dans un esprit de liberté et de tolérance. L’exposition comprend des rétrospectives et des hommages à des personnalités comme une contribution à une meilleure compréhension de l’histoire du cinéma. TwentyFirst exposera ses produits dans une terrasse de 330 m2 donnant sur la plage du Lido de Venise. Sera présent avec quelques pièces «artistiques», qui sont bien placés pour promouvoir l’esprit de liberté et de tolérance, tel que Pacific et Beato conçu par Moredesign. D’autres formes de la collection «cult» de 21st Livingart embelliront la terrasse sur le front de mer de la Méditerranée à Venise, y compris les bac Caprices éclairés et HHC conçue par Marco Cocco. 68th International Film Festival The Film Festival organised by the Venice Biennale will take place at the Lido di Venezia from August 31st to September 10, 2011. The festival aims at promoting international cinema in all its forms, as well as the entertainment industry, in the true spirit of freedom and tolerance. The festival includes retrospectives of and tributes to important personalities, contributing to a better understanding of the history of cinema. Twentyfirst will exhibit its products in a 330 square metre terrace overlooking the Lido di Venezia, with some “artistic” pieces that epitomize the spirit of freedom and tolerance, such as Pacifico and Beato, designed by Moredesign. Other “cult” Twentyfirst Collection pieces will be featured on the large Mediterranean terrace on the Venetian coast, including the Caprice lighting products, and the new HHC designed by Marco Cocco.
