Did you know that there are different types of Ecommerce?

It is important to know the Ecommerce classifications so that we understand their scope and define which will be the most appropriate for your line of business or business:

B2C (Business to Consumer)

It is the most common, surely you have used it when making an online purchase on a website, Market place (Mercado Libre, Amazon, Ebay, Linio, AliExpress, etc.) or Social media Shop on Facebook & Instagram.

It involves all direct purchases of a product or service from a business to the consumer. the most common modality and records traditional transactions from the business to the

consumer.

B2B (Business to Business)

This modality occurs many times in the digital market with the “business-to-business” sale.

Wholesale purchases that many times start from specialized Market places such as Alibaba Group, but surely there will be specialized ones according to your line of business or business.

C2C (Consumer to Consumer)

This modality has become fashionable and more during this last year when the pandemic led us to look for new ways of generating income.

Many of us become Sellers of our products or services through social networks, Market places, groups and virtual communities. C2B (Consumer to Business)

It is the business model where you have surely participated many times without knowing, a real example is every time you value a purchase, share your experience, upload photos giving a review of your opinion or rate a product giving value to it. Every time you share your opinion, you become part of a community that is giving value to a business product.

Companies will consume this content and information to make improvements, corrections and as a consequence they will develop more similar options or discard the offer.

Now that you know what type of Ecommerce you want:

Do you know what to consider before starting?

Below I am going to share some recommendations that you should consider before launching into the Internet ecosystem.

1. Be willing to modify, improve or create a different offer than the one you currently have (physical trade) to adapt it to the online operation.

2. Assign a work team that will be focused on creating and developing this new sales channel (it is best that they be different people from those who are currently in charge of the traditional operation)

3. Define the product or service you will offer. Create a detailed inventory considering:

a) Name of the product (attractive and simple to understand). b) Very clear and creative detail and description, write as if you had your client in front of you and you were selling the product. c) Weight, measurements, materials, etc. d) Maximum and minimum prices (check your competition online to get an idea of whether you are at a competitive market price). e) Photos, take into account that photos are your sales tool, before having them do not follow, it is one of the key factors for your success. I recommend having photos on a white background to highlight the product and set photos. f) Videos, preferably take videos to promote and complement your content on social networks.

4 . Documentation of your company , it is very important that you define if you are going to have a business or personal legal personality , whatever it is requires that you have all your legal documents as Market places and electronic commerce platforms will require it . 5 .

Investigate payment processors , consider those that offer you the greatest security , the least amount of withholdings and that charge you taxes and competitive rates when receiving your payments .

6 . Define the means of transport or the logistics operator that will accompany you in this new project . It is very important that you review it so that you consider the cost of the logistics operation in your operating margin .

Wait for my next article where I will share my recommendations to create a business and digital marketing plan so that your Ecommerce is a success .
