I am Adam Dean and I am seeking your support in my candidacy for the Nevada RV School Board. I am a Vernon County native growing up on my parent’s farm and attending Nevada RV. With my wife Elise Dean, we have 5 children, 4 currently in the district and with the 5th starting kindergarten this fall. I believe it is the responsibility of every parent to do all they can to provide the tools and resources needed to help their children succeed. Having served for over 18+ years on boards serving our community, county, and at the state level, I understand the true meaning of serving requires work and leadership. With over 25 years experience in supporting academic programs succeed, I have the knowledge and skillset to help enhance the direction of our district. Our whole community benefits when our children are provided the quality resources they need in preparedness for the next stage of their life. Our Teachers are able to accomplish their task of educating when the correct resources, support and assistances are provided.
As a District we are not preparing our kids for the next stage of their lives. As a District we have ranked consistently over the last 8 years in the bottom half of all schools in Missouri, and half of that in the bottom third of all schools. We can’t wait any longer to turn around this trend. As parents and educators we need to start asking questions. We need a board member who will ask: What resources are we lacking? What has changed? How can we make sure our students are learning effectively?
