The Soil and Water Conservation Districts in Bates, Vernon, Barton, and Jasper County are accepting applications for a full time Shared FOSA Technician.

Tasks include stakeout and design of conservation practices, interpersonal communication, computer design work, word processing, file maintenance, and general office duties. The successful candidate must be able to work in any type of weather, cross rough terrain, and be able to navigate ARCGIS systems, Trimble units, etc. Good computer skills and basic farm knowledge are a must. All relevant training will be provided. Must have high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and pass a federal security background check. Benefits include annual leave, sick leave, health, vision, and dental insurance, and LAGERS retirement. The successful candidate may be stationed in Bates or Vernon County depending on residential location.

Starting salary will be decided by administering county with advancement opportunities. Advancement is based on time in service with required testing milestones and certifications.
