MAINTENANCE MECHANIC B:

Position Qualifications: Requires completion of High School Education or equivalent. Knowledge of the use of building trade tools or knowledge of plumbing, electrical or carpentry skills. Requires a knowledge of building materials and equipment and the ability to perform tasks on one or more building trades; mechanical aptitude; physical strength and endurance; willingness to do assigned work; industry; physically and mentally capable of performing all duties of the classification; tact in dealing with other employees, residents and the public. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Executive Director. Will take turns with all regular-full time maintenance staff with after hours on call duties. Must reside in Vernon County, State of Missouri and have a valid driver license.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Manual labor requiring little or no skill (washing walls, shampooing carpets, painting, washing windows, etc.)

• Complete all minor work orders as assigned

• Maintain and clean machinery and vehicles

• Ability to learn aspects of all plumbing including installation of water heaters

• Upkeep of lawns, shrubs, and trees at both projects

• Use of power tools or hand tools necessary to make repairs to equipment and structures

• Painting of dwelling and common buildings as needed

Trash pickup and disposal and trash receptacles

JOB Opportunities

Amos and Verena Lambright and family started Rolling Acres Family Farms LLC in April 2022 with intentions of providing antibiotic free all natural beef, port and chicken to the general public. They have since added homemade jam, jellies and canned pickles to their line of products.

The beef and port are raise on the Lambright farm. All hand fed with good quality grain and hay, as well as plenty of fresh water. In the summer time the beef have ample free range and plenty of grass. The beef and pork are processed and packaged at the USDA certified facility and sold through their “on the farm store” or at the Lamar West Side Farmer’s Market. You can save money by buying at the store. They specialize in putting meat bundles together and offering those to you at a discounted price. Or save even more money by buying a whole or half beef, as well as whole pork. You can visit the farm and pick out your own steer or hog, which will then be transported to the processing facility of your choice.

Nathaniel and Nancy Borntrager and family provide the poultry for Rolling acres Family Farms. The poultry is grass fed, antibiotics free and no growth hormones. These chickens are hand fed with good quality feed, provided with plenty of fresh water and moved over fresh pasture daily.

The jams and jellies are homemade by the Hilty family at Hilty’s Beeyards as well as fresh honey from their beeyards.
