Rural Outreach for Veterans Enrichment and Resources (ROVER) is Coming to YOU! The mission of the Veteran Service Officer (VSO) Program is to provide a full continuum of services and support to eligible veterans, service members and their families. ROVER greatly increases the ability to effectively serve the veterans of rural and frontier Nevada. The goal of the meetings is to meet one on one with veterans to guide them through federal benefits programs and to inform them of the benefits they may be entitled to. For a full list of scheduled events and ROVER visits please visit the NOVS site.

Have you or someone you love experienced a life-threatening or terrifying event? Such events may include, but are not limited to, military combat, natural disasters, severe injuries or random acts of violence. Traumatic events like these happen every day to people from all walks of life. While it is normal for most people to have some stress reactions after a traumatic event, if these reactions do not go away for a period of time, or if they significantly disrupt your life, you may be suffering from PTSD. If you are concerned about yourself or someone you love, take a few minutes to complete an anonymous selfassessment. A self-assessment is a very short list of questions to help a person determine if they need to be further assessed by a medical professional. While the assessment does not provide a definitive diagnosis, it will provide information on how to seek help if you are experiencing PTSD symptoms.
