Award winning Simpsons Fish & Chips launch Chippy Tapas
Award-winning Simpsons Fish and Chips, are launching a brand-new Chippy Tapas menu in their Cheltenham restaurant
The menu offers 11 different dishes to choose from as well as four flavours of the taste sensation that is battered chips and two dessert options. Diners can choose three small plates for £15 or five for £20.
Available in the award-winning Cheltenham restaurant from 29th August, the Chippy Tapas reflects the Simpsons style of creating a twist on the traditional, with some chip shop favourites sitting alongside some deliciously different dishes.
Owner Bonny Ritchie said: “We’ve been working on this new menu for a while and we’ve had a lot of fun doing it. Everyone has got involved and we love the variety that it brings. The small plates are perfect for sharing and who doesn’t love eating great tasting food with friends and family?”
The menu includes Crispy Cod Goujons with the Simpsons signature homemade Tartare Sauce, Battered Squid, Whitebait or Scampi with Tubby Toms Lemon & herb mayo, Prawns with sweet chilli sauce, Halloumi with Baconnaise and Thai Spiced Fishcake with chill dip. Vegan options include Vegan Sausage with ketchup, Vegan Jackfruit Wings with Tubby Toms jalapeno mayo, Minted Pea Fritter and the ever-popular Frickles with a top-secret seasoning.
Once again, proving everything is better with batter; Simpsons are launching Battered Chips as part of their small plate feast. Battered Chips are achingly crispy on the outside filled with cloud like, fluffy potato on the inside.
With four flavours to choose from the battered chips have all the ingredients to become yet another Simpsons’ favourite.
Keleigh’s Posh Truffled Chips are the invention of longserving manager Keleigh Green. Named in her honour, they
are served with truffle oil, parmesan and parsley.
The Best Dirty Chips should come with a warning as they’re so moreish, served with secret sauce, jalapenos, melted cheese and crispy onions.
Giving due recognition to our friends in the North, The Northener is the perfect combination of lashings of peppered gravy smothered with melted cheese. An invention of Mr Tubby Tom’s himself, the Done & Dusted are a twist on the famous scampi fries and yet no prawns were harmed in the making of these chips. This all-vegan invention is a taste sensation using a secret recipe and served with Tubby Toms lemon and herb dip.
Those craving a sweet finish won’t be disappointed with a choice of Battered Pineapple Ring served with a drizzle of chocolate and coconut ice cream or Simpsons Sticks, light and fluffy churros served with a dusting of cinnamon and salted caramel ice cream.
Where possible, the Chippy Tapas menu will be gluten free on the first Monday of every month.
