PARTICIPATING & SUPPORTING COMPANIES
WELCOME! Full of returning favourites and brand new companies, welcome to our 2017/18 Season here at New Diorama. Following a year which saw New Diorama win The Stage’s Fringe Theatre of the Year Award 2017 and the 2016 Peter Brook Empty Space Award, this season is our best yet – full of premieres of new work from the UK’s most exciting companies. We are excited to welcome Lost Watch as our newest Associate Ensemble, and to present the premiere of Left My Desk next spring. Associates Spare Tyre are back with a takeover week in November, followed by an Invisible Women mini-festival in 2018, and Rhum and Clay return after a successful Edinburgh Festival Fringe with hit show Testosterone. As a special addition this season, New Diorama will be hosting several largescale events and productions in ND2, our new rehearsal and development space – located just next door to the theatre at Regent’s Place. As many of you will know, New Diorama has a strong commitment and reputation for access. This year, we will be hosting a record number of captioned and relaxed performances across our 2017/18 season – ensuring this collection of exciting and unmissable work from the UK’s best emerging theatre makers is accessible for everyone. With the range of work New Diorama is supporting, creating and co-producing, we’re confident there is theatre here to appeal to everyone. Of course, none of what we do here would be possible without your support and enthusiasm, so thank you! We really look forward to welcoming you, and we’ll see you in the bar! Team NDT

‘It’s very important that you stay healthy. That the environment you work in is safe. That you feel comfortable, and secure. That you feel balanced, safe, and in control.’ Are your employers concerned about your welfare? Do they have a duty of care? Emma thinks so, but when she begins a relationship with colleague Darren her Manager suggests she might be in breach of contract. A series of bizarre meetings follow, during which the consequences of Emma’s actions take on a disturbing quality… A dark comedy about faceless corporations, nameless management and the boundaries between work and play. ALL IN takes a wild ride through vastly different, seemingly unconnected worlds, where everyday situations take unexpected turns into the absurd and intimate. Dictatorships, nightclubs, national anthems, education and self help manuals combine in an epic journey that questions how free we really are from the tyranny of the crowd. For this new performance, ATRESBANDES have brought striking visuals to their characteristic blend of physical theatre and meditative text in a darkly playful exploration of the millennial condition. ATRESBANDES are a company from Barcelona making sharp, perceptive work on the boundaries of theatre and performance.
