Idle Motion Idle Motion are presenting all three of their past productions at NDT in 2012, Borges and I, The Vanishing Horizon and The Seagull Effect. Over the past five years Idle Motion have created several pieces of physical and highly visual theatre. the faction theatre co. First performed at the NDT with Schiller’s epic THE ROBBERS Faction Theatre Co. returned in February 2011 with STRINDBERG’S APARTMENT, a new adaptation by Simon Reade. Faction return to New Diorama in 2012 with a repertory season of three shows spanning six weeks: TWELFTH NIGHT, opening on Twelfth Night itself, this will be followed by productions of MARY STUART and MISS JULIE. FACTION THEATRE CO. are a young company who breathe new life into modern texts and stage them in an energetic, invigorating and often intense way. Third Party For years THIRD PARTY have been a favourite on the national and international touring circuit. We are dedicated to giving them a proper home in central London. Their recent production of DR FAUSTUS, co-produced with NDT, led to great national reviews for the company, and the New Diorama and Third Party were jointly awarded a Peter Brook award. THIRD PARTY perform in theatres, art centres, village halls, outdoor spaces and festivals; and have given over 1000 performances all over the UK and abroad. The majority of their work is based on classic plays which are deconstructed and reimaged during the rehearsal process, indulging in their humour, THIRD PARTY give classic plays a contemporary and experimental vitality. Spare Tyre Spare Tyre brought together the two main strands of their work for the first time at New Diorama in Autumn 2010 - the Hot Pots (their over 60s team) and inc.Theatre (who create work with adults with learning disabilities). Their exceptional theatre work is often very funny, thought provoking and bitingly satirical. SPARE TYRE returned to NDT with TROJAN WOMEN, an outdoor performance performed by the Hot Pots in May 2011. Spare Tyre uses and makes theatre that enables voiceless communities and individuals to share and celebrate their untold stories, transforming lives and challenging prejudice. Their history of producing bold and powerful theatre that inspires and challenges communities, artists and audiences, stretches over thirty years.
