ADMISSION

NEC Nursing completes a holistic admission review for every applicant. In addition to NEC’s general application requirements, nursing applicants must provide the following admission requirements.

First-Year Applicants:

• Overall high school GPA (average 3.12 for admitted students)

• Grades in college prep math, science, and English courses

• Two letters of recommendation

• Personal essay

• LNA licensure is a plus

• TEAS, SAT, or ACT optional

• Interview optional or upon request

Transfer Applicants:

• Overall college GPA (average 3.0 for admitted transfer students)

• Grades in science, math, and writing courses

• Two letters of recommendation

• Personal essay

• LNA Licensure is a plus

• Interview optional or upon request

• TEAS optional (within one year of application)

When you earn your BSN at New England College, you get the benefits of a comprehensive nursing education with a foundation in the liberal arts. You will gain the knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills needed to succeed in your nursing career. An innovative feature of NEC’s BSN program is the opportunity to earn as you learn. You will earn 36 credits during three immersive clinical experiences at one of our partner healthcare organizations, and 24 of those credits will be paid as an LNA employee.

• Cohort-based learning in a conceptbased program

• Completion of 124 credits in less than three years on a 12-month academic calendar
