In May 2019, United Way of Windham County, in partnership with Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, opened the doors to the Windham County Dental Center. Its mission: to provide Windham County residents with comprehensive and accessible oral care and education in a supportive, respectful, and compassionate environment, with the goal of improving overall well-being. We believe that by connecting oral care to medical care that our patients will have longer, happier, and healthier lives. With a mission and a place to call home, the Windham County Dental Center has provided services to over 400 Windham County residents; services such as extractions, cleanings, fillings, and other dental needs. We have made great strides to
improve the lives of all our patients, yet there are still gaps in service that need to be filled. By a large margin, one of those gaps is the need for denture assistance. There are currently about 50 patients waiting desperately for this much needed service. Much more than just a medically necessary implement, dentures provide a sense of belonging, esteem, and happiness. United Way of Windham County asks that you support your neighbors and friends in need by contributing to the Windham County Smiles Fund. The Smiles Fund, since its inception, has helped to subsidize the costs of dentures to over 50 patients in Windham County. Your contribution today will help provide denture subsidies to our patients. Thank you very much.
