SHEFFIELD VOTERS: YOUR WINNING VOTE DIDN'T COUNT The marijuana bylaw overwhelmingly approved by Sheffield voters at last June’s Special Town Meeting must be re-voted. The reason? A public hearing wasn’t properly posted. That’s a frustrating mistake for each of the 184 voters, representing over 80% of the votes cast, who personally turned out last year to endorse the bylaw permitting five outdoor marijuana cultivation sites in Sheffield. The town has no limit on these sites and Sheffield already has more than any community in Berkshire County and any community in all of Massachusetts. It’s time to respect voters’ wishes and officially put the bylaw on the books where it rightfully belongs. Please make your voice heard and your vote known again by attending Sheffield’s Special Town Meeting on Monday, April 4 at 6:00pm at Mt. Everett Regional H.S. on Berkshire School Road in Sheffield.
