KATANA
A face as intriguing as it is sweet. This lovable girl is Katana also known as “Kiki”. A beautiful 1.5-year-old American Pit Bull mix, she came to Berkshire Humane Society because her owner was living out of her car. Prior to that, Katana spent most of her “in home” life in a crate, so much so, she was stained from filth. Despite that fact, she actually does well in a crate, but that should not be her only option when living in a new home. She was doing well on her housetraining at the shelter, but has regressed a bit due to stress. This highly intelligent girl is very trainable, but will require a home where she has not only structure and boundaries, as well as outlets for her energy. Katana loves spending time outdoors, and walks well on a leash. She has the ability to get along with other dogs, but does best with male dogs and children 8 years plus. But, no small animals for this beauty. An affectionate girl, she loves her snuggle time and is exuberant in how she shows her love to you. The staff describe her as “an energetic wild child with pizazz. She’s a nice kid, but struggling in the kennel environment. She just needs more than what we can provide her. We feel she will benefit so much more from consistency in a home.”
