A beautiful and adaptable multi-stemmed native American shrub. The white upright bottlebrush flower clusters appear from July into August above the layers of deep green foliage. This hard-to-find shrub is adaptable to both sun and shade. Also deer-resistant for those areas prone to browsing deer. Great for naturalizing or massing in shrub borders or under trees. A Windy Hill Farm favorite.

Pulmonary Function Testing Machine (PFT) The need of a new PFT machine is essential to integrate Fairview’s Cardiopulmonary Services into the exciting advances in information technology underway at Berkshire Health Systems. These tests are ordered hundreds of times each year to help diagnose patients who suffer from symptoms of lung problems, those who must monitor asthma, COPD or other respiratory disorder, or patients who need assessment of lungs function before surgery. The use of the PFT’s also serves cardiac patients as well. Thank you for helping Fairview make this important upgrade.

AUG 1 - Berkshire High Peaks Festival: , 7:00 pm. 800-8430778. http://berkshirehighpeaksmusic.org/. “Years of Pilgrimage,” the Allen Theatre, Berkshire School, Sheffield, MA. This concert showcases selections from the mercurial keyboard music of Baroque-era Domenico Scarlatti, to the humor and exuberance of Rossini, the virtuosity of Paganini, and the genius of Verdi. Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage and Gian Carlo Menotti’s Suite for two cellos and piano are among the featured works. Soprano Danielle Talamantes sings favorite coloratura arias that typify the bravura of Italian vocal tradition. Also performing are Chrysanthemums, a string quartet in one movement and the only chamber music work from Puccini, and Gian Carlo Menotti’s two cellos and piano work.

Hello! I am Leo the Mastiff mix and I am an extra large guy. I came to the shelter because someone rescued me from a situation. My background is unknown by the kennel staff. I can be fearful at first, but I am starting to gain trust. I would do best in an adult household as an only pet. I would appreciate an owner with some experience with large breed dogs and dogs with some fearful tendencies. I am learning to walk better on leash with my easy-walk harness. I am partially house trained and could be fully trained with a little more time and practice. I will need work on being left alone as I was a bit unsettled for my left alone test. I can be a bit physical for play, but that is because I am a big puppy that doesn’t know my own size or strength. I have had only limited interest in toys. Please call or stop by the shelter to see about me!
