Fall fun awaits at the Salisbury Fall Festival
Everyone is invited to a fun-filled celebration in the historic towns of Salisbury and Lakeville, CT over the Columbus Day weekend! There will be lots of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. So make plans to attend — October 11-13.
Wander Main Street for attic treasures and previously-loved books in the villages’ churches and library. Admire the beautiful quilt show. Visit a special exhibit about the local pocketknife factory at the Salisbury Association. Purchase homemade baked goods, jams, and local honey. Visit the many booths along the street and stop in the local shops for special sales.
Look for local artisans selling hand-made jewelry, pottery, textiles, glassware, and crafts. Enjoy hot dogs, Greek pastries, baked potatoes with toppings, chili, and mac ‘n cheese. Or stop by the food trucks for delicious crepes or lobster rolls. Do you have something which needs fixing? Bring it to the talented DIYers at the Repair Cafe. On Friday evening, don’t miss the “Sip and
Stroll” event with cocktails and appetizers in the local stores.
Bring the kids on Saturday! They’ll enjoy games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and crafts. Watch a magic show. Go on a hayride. Don’t miss the dancers from Blue Dance Studio and Graham 2. Listen to live music by the Joint Chiefs and Salisbury Band. Enjoy delicious apples, popcorn, donuts, and cider. Be sure to vote for your favorite scarecrows along Main Street of Salisbury and Lakeville. Then enjoy a delicious roast beef dinner to eat in or take out from the Lakeville Hose Fire Department.
In case of rain on Saturday, some outdoor events will move inside and others will be postponed until Sunday. For the latest updates,
On Sunday, enjoy the Pet Parade at the Community Field in Lakeville. Then visit the booths of local artisans and organizations. End the weekend at the Brew-Ski Fest up at the ski jumps with gorgeous views of the Litchfield Hills and Berkshire Mountains.

Autumn Treasure Hunt
ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE SHOPPING IN BERKSHIRE COUNTY, MA
As October blankets Berkshire County in a tapestry of warm hues, the crisp autumn air carries with it the perfect time for exploration. Antique and vintage shops from Pittsfield to Sheffield come alive, their shelves brimming with forgotten treasures. The journey starts in Pittsfield, where quaint shops invite you to step back in time. From antique furniture and vintage home décor to delicate porcelain and well-worn books that whisper stories of the past, Berkshire County offers a treasure trove of timeless finds.
The drive through the Berkshires is magical — trees aflame with shades of red, orange, and gold line the roads, making the trip as much about the scenic beauty as it is about the shopping. In small towns like Great Barrington, tucked-away shops offer everything from rustic farmhouse furniture to vintage fashion.
After a day of treasure hunting, there's no better way to unwind than with a cozy meal at the Olde Forge Restaurant in Lanesborough. Nestled amid the foliage, the restaurant is a local favorite, offering hearty dishes that warm you from the inside out.
In October, Berkshire County is not just a place to find antiques, but a place where history, nature, and the joy of discovery come together in perfect harmony.
