Drop by for a glass of wine or book a guided tasting for yourself or a group of friends. They specialize in hybrid varieties — Seyval Blanc, Baco Noir, Chelois, Chambourcin, Dechanauc, Burdin and Le Colonel. Lately, they’ve introduced an apiary and French chickens. Oh la la!

The Land of Nod is an historic spot for wine tasting. The 9th generation farmers at this place will greet you in their tasting room, located in a barn dating to before the American Revolution. In addition to tasting the 12 grape and fruit wines they make, you can purchase wine, yarn made from their sheep, maple syrup, gourmet snacks and gifts.

This family-owned farm and winery is a true farm-to-glass experience. They offer tastings, individual glasses and wine flights. Turning out just 1,400 cases a year of their 15 different wines, they offer an apple ice wine and mead made from honey collected from their own apiaries. You can also purchase fruit and honey in season.

Not technically a winery, this brandy distillery offers tastings and snacks or meals in its restaurant. These people take their brandy seriously. They grow 43 types of apples and 9 kinds of grapes, all destined to be distilled into their products. When they started, they imported a bespoke still from Cognac, France. This season they are offering tastes of white and sweet red vermouths and ‘00’ Unaged Apple Brandy.

Overlooking Richmond Pond, Balderdash makes wines from premium grapes grown at top California vineyards. There are whites, reds and rosés to sample.
