EMILIO SANCHEZ-CASAL

Emilio competed at a world-class level winning some Grand Slam doubles tournaments and a silver medal at the 1988 Olympics. After Emilio’s professional stage, he turned to coaching tennis players both on an individual level and team level as a coach of Davis Cup teams. Emilio combined his work as a coach and former player and founded his own Tennis Academies, the Academia Sanchez-Casal in Spain, China, and the USA. At these academies students can take advantage of the opportunities that tennis and education provides. Emilio also created his own foundation, “Fundación Emilio Sánchez Vicario”, to help children achieve a better life through tennis.

BIO Bobby lives in Cambridge, MA and attends Belmont Hill School where he plays on the varsity team. He is ranked 38th nationally in 16s, and is #1 in New England in the 16s. Bobby is coached by USPTA Master Professional, Michael Mercier.

Naveen lives in the greater Boston area and plays for the Malden High School tennis team. Naveen is coached by Michael Mercier at the Harvard University Tennis Facility. Naveen “loves to play tennis and (is) striving to compete at the highest level.”

Anna Nguyen lives in Reading, MA and goes to school at Reading Memorial High. She is coached by her dad, Vi Nguyen, and Laury Hammel, of the Longfellow Tennis Club. Currently, Anna is ranked 45th in the nation in 16 and under, and 4th in the New England 16 and under.

Caroline is from Brookline MA, and attends Brookline High School. She is ranked in the top 35 in the country in 16s, and she is a 5-star in the class of 2022. Caroline's home club is the Sportsmans Tennis Club, and her coach is Troy Crichlow.

Lex Carrington has been coaching tennis for over 25 years. He has worked with all levels but has specialized in junior development. Lex has worked with college players in addition to coaching on the women’s and men’s professional tour. He coached American Vincent Spadea, a top 20 player, and Vera Zvonareva, who reached a career high of #2 in the world. Lex currently resides in Port Saint Lucie, Florida where he coaches and operates his tennis program at the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club.

Sara Carver-Milne has served as the head coach of the Brown University Gymnastics program since 2002 and will enter her 20th season as the program's leader during the 2021-22 season. Sara has guided the team to historic successes, leading the team to its first-ever ECAC Championship in 2014 and three of the program's four Ivy Classic championships in 2013, 2014, and 2016. Her teams have consistently produced NCAA Regional qualifiers, ECAC champions, and Ivy champions. All but one of the program's individual and team school records have come during her tenure as head coach.

Jasmine Sborov joined the Harvard Women's Basketball staff as an assistant coach in August 2015 and will enter her sixth season in 202021. Sborov came to Cambridge after lettering for four years at the University of Colorado. Sborov helped the Crimson to a 21-9 overall record in 2016-17, including an 8-6 mark in Ivy League play. Harvard went to its fifth post-season over the last six seasons.

BIO In 24 years coaching at the University of Massachusetts, Judy Dixon has climbed to the top of the UMass coaching charts. Her 304-219 record with the women's squad makes her the winningest tennis coach in UMass history. Over the last six years, Dixon has guided UMass to one of its most successful stretches with 15-ormore wins in five of those campaigns along with two appearances in the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Jay spent nine years working as a national coach for the United States Tennis Association based in NY at the Training Center – East. Jay was responsible for implementing the USTA teaching philosophy for the top national juniors and professional players. Some of Jay's highlights include coaching Kristie Ahn into the second week of the US Open last year, and coaching Ann Li to the finals at the Wimbledon’s Juniors in 2017. When Jay was a player, he rose to the top 5 in juniors, and the top 10 in men’s in India.

The US Olympic Committee and the USTA named Mike the Top Player Development Coach in the U.S. in 2016. He has coached two junior players who reached #1 in the world, and another junior to #1 in the world in their age group. He has also coached 12 different players to #1 national rankings or national championships. Mike has also been named the national college coach of the year and has served as the USPTA California Division President where providing educational opportunities to the members was his top priority.

Currently, Jay is the Director of Player Development for the New York Junior Tennis and Learning organization.

Currently, Mike is the Head Coach for the men's and women's teams at California Lutheran University.

Phillip Hayman

Phillip is a USPTA Elite Professional and IPTPA Level 2 Pro and Rating Specialist 5, as well as being a certified professional with the PTR and PPR. Phillip has worked in both the private and public sectors and is currently working for the Hingham, MA Recreation Department as their Tennis and Pickleball Director. He is also the Tennis and Pickleball Director for Portland, ME and Ipswich, MA. Phillip has recently acquired an additional position with the Edge Sports Group as an independent contractor directing both tennis and pickleball operations at the Thayer Sports Center located in Braintree, MA. Phillip was awarded the USPTA NE 60 Pro of the Year for 2020 and is one of the Massachusetts State Presidents for the USPTA New England Division.

He has directed successful training camps at many of Boston’s most prestigious sports clubs and has successfully operated pickleball camps in the Boston area for over 100 players.

As a pickleball teaching professional, Todd holds a 5.0 rating and has competed in national championship tournaments and holds a championship title in the New Jersey Open 5.0 tournament. Currently, Todd is the Director of Racquet Sports at the Winchester Country Club in Winchester, MA.

Angelo Rossetti

Angelo is Director of Racquet Sports at the Tennis & Fitness Center of Rocky Hill and served as the Director of Tennis at Weston Racquet Club, an Ivan Lendl Tennis Center, for over 10 years. He is a USPTA P1/Elite, PTR, MTM, USTA High Performance & Mental Skills and IPTPA (pickleball) certified teaching professional, being first certified in 1992. Angelo is also NLP and Mindfulness certified, and studied to be a Dale Carnegie instructor, as he wanted to learn and teach the best ways to learn! Angelo was elected in 2017 as one of the youngest Presidents of USTA Connecticut (2018-2020). Angelo played Varsity tennis at Hamden High School en route to be a top Division I player at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.S. degree in Sports Science with a concentration in Sports Marketing. Angelo is a 2X Guinness World Records™ titleholder of two different tennis titles; the Longest Tennis Rally and the Longest Tennis Volley Rally. His most recent certifications are Developing Mental Toughness and USTA High Performance. Angelo is a published author, TENNACITY: The Tenacious Mindset, On & Off the Court, based on his mental skills blog for tennis players and athletes and his online mental skills course with the same name which can be found at www.tennacity.org.

Nate Gross is a tennis teaching pro in Northern California. He developed Spec Tennis in 2016 and sees it as a great pathway into tennis by giving players success more often with every tennis skill and making tennis accessible to more people. Go to SpecTennis.com to learn more.

Peter will be speaking about MSV Paddles. Peter grew up in Worcester area then attended Brown University where he was Co-captain of the men's tennis team. Peter worked for USTA New England as Director of Junior Tennis and is a member USPTA. Currently, Peter distributes tennis and pickleball products through Peter Guterman Sales, and teaches at Willy's Gym, and the Willowbend Golf and Country Club.

John Davey is founder and CEO of Fast Track Tennis. John is a self-taught tennis player and a former standout #1 singles player on his NCAA Division 1 college tennis team. Aspiring to play professionally after college but slowed by injury, he refocused into a successful career on Wall Street before turning to entrepreneurship.

Bill Mountford

Bill Mountford is a USPTA Elite Professional and the Senior Racquets Director for Chelsea Piers Connecticut in Stamford, Connecticut. His service to the USPTA includes being a member of the Executive committee for multiple terms, a division president, and chairing USPTA national committees. Bill has spent his professional career working in the tennis industry and was most recently with the United States Tennis Association, where he was charged with overseeing junior tournaments and junior competition in the U.S. Prior to working in Junior Development, Bill worked in market development with emphasis on establishing the foundation for the growth of Youth Tennis / 10 & Under Tennis initiatives and collegiate tennis. Bill also worked overseas for another national governing body, the Lawn Tennis Association in Great Britain, and previous to that was the Director of Tennis at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Bill and his family reside in New Canaan, CT.
