“Sometimes, undertaking the difficult path is the most rewarding path.”

“Figuring out why a system has failed and fixing it in a timely manner.”

“I once hit a golf ball over 500 yards. Some of it was downhill and downwind, but it still went over 500 yards.”

What do you love most about your job?

“The relationships I have made with clients and the ability to continue to work with them over and over again.”

“I would say anyone that knows me knows what I love: Tennis and Florida. And wine!”

Do you have a recognition or achievement you would like to submit on behalf of a colleague? There are two ways to recognize a colleague:

1. Email Marketing to have the achievement featured in the next quarterly newsletter.

2. Submit an Impression via

Paylocity. Simply login to www.paylocity.com and select the star icon for impressions.

From there you can award an impression. Impressions notify the staff member, and their direct supervisor.

What do you love most about your job?

“The people I work with make all the difference whether it’s someone I’ve worked with for over 20 years or someone I’ve met by way of acquisition a couple months ago.”

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

“Around 1995, my college roommate advised me to install a TCP/IP stack on Windows 3.1 and download Mosaic to browse the World Wide Web. That was my introduction to the Internet.”

What is something people don’t know about you?

“I enjoy outdoor activities all year long and have a variety of mountain and fat bikes, snowboards, paddle boards, and surf boards.”

What makes New Era a great place to work?

“Our culture. New Era not only looks to preserve the culture but rather reinforces it with every acquisition.”

What has been the biggest change you have seen in the past 25 years as it relates to the industry or the work you do?

“Integrating Media Retrieval systems with VCRs and slide projectors to now having video streamed over IP networks.”

What is something people don’t know about you?

“I have run for public office on several occasions, served multiple terms on the town council, and I have lived in the same small town my entire life (I also built and am the curator of our town museum). If there is something that is still unknown, I have put great effort into keeping it that way.”

“Through smart decisions and employee sacrifice, the company has been relatively insulated against changes in financial and political climates providing a consistent and stable place in which to provide for my family and me.”

“If you don’t walk on the railroad tracks, you won’t get hit by the train.”

“The portability and accessibility of devices and information.”

“The core group of individuals, both formerly and currently employed, that have helped average out the good days and challenging days into twentyfive years of good times and memories.” 14
