PHILIPPE BELANGER FITNESS MODEL & ACROBAT IN THE SKY Where are you originally from and where do you live? I was born in Quebec city/Canada and lived there until I was 20 years old, when I joined the circus. Ever since I've been traveling the world doing shows with the compagny Cirque Du Soleil. Tell our readers about your background? I took part in a professional circus formation in Quebec City where I learned how to become a professional circus artist. What do you enjoy the most about modelling for photography? I'm super passionate about creating magic through telling a story, playing a character whilst performing unique and impressive skills. The stage is a great place to be able to do that but I also really enjoy creating photography content, on both sides of the camera, as a model and as a photographer. It's so different yet so similar, being able to create and tell a story, play with characters and create that beauty and magic through a lens. What do you do for a living? I'm a circus artist, more specifically, I have an act with my business partner where I ride a unicycle whilst I twirl her around my neck, she stands on my head and I hold her in a handstand in my hands. Boxers or Briefs? All the way briefs, I can't wear loose underwear. Do you always wear your own underwear's brand? Yes I do. You'll always find me wearing Design KontroL underwear. We have boxer briefs with an inside pouch and we have a regular brief that will be available early this year. They're so comfortable ... Interview by Julien Texier

INCH PHOTOGRAPHY BOJIC NENAD is a male photographer based in Belgrade. He works under his own brand called "Inch photography". For him, photography is to see and portrait light ,shadows and form of male physique and beauty . He loves to combine dramatic composition with visual effects to express the strenght of males body. Part of his art is to connect models with their personality, sexuality and creativity. Bojic, what kind of photographer are you ? Photography is my hobby because my primary job is to be an architect. I think it's probably why i'm so interested by light, composition, etc. But as an architect I realized that I needed something more creative. I starting portrait girls at first but didn't find myself doing that. So I have started portrait boys from my local gym, and most of the people liked my work, so I have just focus on that. In the beginning I was just shooting some kind of fitness photos. Then I met in Paris famous Donald Potiard ,we were siting and talking for hours, and he told me "forget fitness do your own concept ,I like this strong shades". So from that point, I started to experiment with lights. I don't use lights that most photographers do. I like to shoot especially with fluo cold static light, which helps me to sublimise all the muscles from models and get that hard shades wrapped around their bodies. During the last two years, I shot more than 230 models. Some of them are actors, singer, fitness trainer, dancers, cops, all kind of profession, and no matter if they are professionals or mostly amateurs at the end they turned up to be like a model from magazine cover. It's very important to create bonds between models and photographers, that's why I like models to come alone on photoshooting to have time to meet them and relax so we can make some amazing photos. THOMAS SYNNAMON A gentleman photographer in New York Why are you a photogapher? I started out as a creative in other areas (display, costume) and then began experimenting with street photography just as digital cameras came on the market. Shortly after, I switched to studio photography focusing predominantly on the male figure, though I still shoot outdoors occasionally.
What catch your eye? Everything inspires me, especially New York City inhabitants and the city itself. I work in the fashion field also and love all the new trends I see on the streets and runways.
How do you choose your subjects? I get referrals from agencies to shoot models who need portfolio shots. I also shoot a lot of product for different brands, a lot of underwear and swimwear! Sometimes I reach out to agencies when I come across interesting looking models on Instagram.
How do you describe your work? The shoots I do for pleasure as opposed to commercial work fall into the art photography category. My work is informed by great photographers like Mapplethorpe, Avedon, Irving Penn, etc. and I see the male form as sculpture that I'm molding and fitting into a 2D format.
What makes a good photographer to you? Photography is my passion and the goal is to improve my work, shot by shot. You need a creative eye to begin with, but it can be developed and hopefully perfected over a lifetime. Interview by Tom Saint Clair

SUMMER BOYS By Benjamin Veronis
Tell our readers about your background? Becoming a photographer was one of those unintentional things that happen along the way. I had worked in the fashion industry for all of my prior career, but sold the company I owned right before moving from New York to Palm Springs California. When I moved here California, I had to reinvent my career since I no longer had that connection to the fashion industry. I always dabbled in various forms of male oriented art, whether it be menswear clothing design, fashion illustration or painting. But I had never tried photography, but it is the only one where I feel the results somewhat match my expectations and standards at the onset.
How do you describe your work? I am alway learning and always striving to achieve more. One thing that I have realized about photography is that it is not always just a pose, or the lighting that makes a great photo, but it is making the connection with the model and bringing that to the final photo. How to convey the model in a sexy way because I think my photos inherently are all about sexiness. I always want to do so in a way that fits with who they are as a person. I never try to push them too far, but at the same time I like to get them to go right up to that point.
How do you choose your models? In the beginning I would seek out the model from various places like Model Mayhem, etc. But now that I am quite frequently published, models seem to find me, so I no longer really have that initial task. It’s great to meet most of these guys, who I usually spend most of the day with. If we really have chemistry then I will shoot them again in a second or third shooting, but many of the guys I only see once, so I have to make the most of it.
Where would you travel and shoot if you could go anywhere? Why? f I could instantly transport myself somewhere for my next shoot, it would probably be either Greece or Spain…Greece for it’s dramatic white and blue backdrop for each photo, I
or Spain for it’s old European feel, a bit more ornate than Greece…I almost always find inspirational beauty in my models, but it’s harder to find an equally beautiful background for each photo. Interview by Jean de Champs 65
