Fort, together with her doctor husband, Giles, launched a spiritual awakening through medical missions at the Sanyati Baptist Hospital where they were the first doctors in 1953. Through nearly 36 years of service with national believers and missionary colleagues, countless people came to Christ. One of three female graduates of Baylor College of Medicine in 1949 and recipient of their Distinguished Alumni Award in 1990, Wana Ann is a contributor to books such as Dream Builders and A History of Medical Missions. She raised five sons in Africa with her late husband and currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Kim P. Davis is a writer who served 13 years in Africa as a Southern Baptist missionary with her husband and two of Dr. Fort’s sons. She has compiled such books as Voices of the Faithful and Voices of the Faithful, Book Two, and is the author of My Life, His Mission. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Henry W.
