Our mission. New Jersey Realtors ® exists to support all segments of its membership, in concert with the local boards and associations of Realtors ® and the National Association of Realtors ® , by developing and delivering programs, services and related products which enhances the ability to conduct business successfully and ethically, and to promote the extension and preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property.

New Jersey Realtors® serves as a leading advocate for the real estate industry and private property owners. NJ Realtors® provides essential programs and services for Realtors®, including government affairs, continuing education, market statistics and many other benefits. Additionally, NJ Realtors® provides resources for consumers related to the real estate industry and the process of buying and selling a home.

Comprised of 14 local boards, New Jersey Realtors® has approximately 58,000 members who are involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.

NJ Realtors® is the state arm of the National Association of Realtors®, which at more than 1.1 million members, is the largest trade association and one of the most powerful groups in North America. Not all real estate agents are Realtors®. Realtors®—who are all licensed real estate agents—represent some of the most knowledgeable, successful, and trustworthy professionals in their industry.

Realtors® subscribe to a strictly enforced Code of Ethics that promotes the fair, ethical, and honest treatment of all parties in a real estate transaction. Agents who are not Realtors® are not bound to these same ethical practices and principles set forth in the Realtor® Code.

New Jersey REALTORS® Acceptable Trademark Usage

New Jersey REALTORS® is a federally registered trademark and should be treated as such. As of July 2014, the New Jersey REALTORS® logo must appear with the register mark ® after the letter “S” where the word REALTORS® appears.

Please note that in all external communications the association is to be referred to as New Jersey REALTORS® or the abbreviated NJ REALTORS® .

NJAR and NJR should never be used in any external communications.

The association should never be referred to as “the New Jersey REALTORS®” , as it is grammatically incorrect.

Only when appearing in news articles and press releases following AP Style is it acceptable to use “Realtors.”

Logo Formats

Format & Space Requirements

There are two acceptable formats for the New Jersey REALTORS® logo: Horizontal and Square, as shown below.

Clear Space

Clear space is based proportionally on the height of the printed logo art. That height being X. For the horizontal logo, half of that height (X) is the minimum area that should be allowed around all of the logo for maximum impact.

For the square logo, one-quarter of that height (X) is the minimum area that should be allowed around all of the logo for maximum impact .

Allow more space if possible.

Minimum Size Requirements

Print: The horizontal logo should never be smaller than two inches wide. The vertical logo should never be smaller than one inch wide.

Web: The horizontal logo should never be smaller than 150 pixels wide. The vertical logo should never be smaller than 75 pixels wide.

The New Jersey REALTORS® logo (both horizontal and vertical formats) must never be stretched or squished.

Height and width ratios must be maintained during any and all resizing.

REALTOR® Logo Usage

When using the REALTOR® logo, please refer to these guidelines provided by the National Association of REALTORS®:

Form

The REALTOR® logo consists of an “R” set in Futura typeface on a sharply contrasting rectangular background to form a block “R” under which is centered the term REALTOR®. The relative dimensions of the rectangle, the size of the “R” within the rectangle in relation to the rectangle dimensions, the length and typestyle of the term REALTOR® and the space between the term REALTOR® and the rectangle are all important features of the REALTOR® logo. These features as well as the color identity between the term REALTOR® and the rectangle must be observed.

Size

The size to which the REALTOR® logo may be reduced is often determined by the intended application and the manner in which the mark is to reproduced (business cards, stationary, etc.). The REALTOR® logo must never be reduced to the point where the identifier cannot be read or where the registration symbol is illegible. The size of the registration symbol may be increased as necessary to ensure legibility.

Color

The REALTOR® logo may be reproduced in any color, but it’s recommend that you use the official REALTOR® Blue (PMS 293). If you want to use another color, ensure:

It’s a sharply contrasting single color.

There’s adequate contrast between the color used and its background. That for a dark background, you reverse all components of the logo.
