Gov. Murphy Signed A6206 into Law

At the end of January, Gov. Murphy signed A6206 into law. The governor conditionally vetoed the bill, which replaced some language but retained the intent of the bill. The State Senate and Assembly unanimously approved the conditional veto on Jan. 10, 2022, in the final legislative session of 20202021. There is still more work to be done to completely protect our independent contractor status, but this is a big step in the right direction.
