Grand Bahama Shipyard offers facilities for the dry-docking and repair of all types of oceangoing vessels. The shipyard operates - Three (3) floating dry-docks with a maximum lifting capacity of close to 90,000 tonnes. A number of deepwater wet berths that is available for alongside repairs, as well as a range of workshops to provide the necessary support services. Grand Bahama Shipyard is considered to be the world leader in undertaking drydocking and repairs to cruise ships. The yard is also regularly visited by a wide range of other vessel types.

In addition to his fame for establishing the first English colony in the New World, Raleigh was also a respected writer and poet. Originally a favorite of Queen Elizabeth, Raleigh was later beheaded for treason in 1618.
