Power Of Prayer How powerful is it?

DARE TO ASK BIG. When you pray God-sized prayers, you will see the greatness of God's power. All through the Scripture we see this principle. Elijah prayed that it wouldn't rain, and for three and a half years there was no rain.

Joshua prayed for more daylight, and God stopped the sun. Elisha prayed for protection, and his enemies standing right in front of him didn't recognize him. God made him invisible.

An ordinary prayer is "God, just help me to make it by this month. Just help me to pay my rent." There's nothing wrong with that. But a God sized prayer is "God, I'm asking You to increase me in such a way that can not only pay off my house but I can also pay off someone else's home."

An ordinary prayer is "God, just help me to go as far as my parents.

Help me not to lose any ground." But a God-sized prayer is "God, help me to take our family to a new level. Let me set a new standard. When people look back two hundred years from now let them say it was that man, or that woman, who thrust our family higher than we have ever been before.That's a GOD-sized prayer.

The power of prayer should not be underestimated. James 5:16-18 declares, "…

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops." God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves in response to prayers.

Jesus taught, "…I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move.

Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20).God bless.

Do you know that God has plans and goals for you? He created us and He already planned our path beforehand. Ephesians 2:10 clearly says that we are God's masterpiece, recreated in Christ Jesus, that we may do those good works which God predestined for us, that we should walk in them. But fulfilling these assignments does not happen automatically, here is where our cooperation is requested! God has set the goals for our life - good works, good plans - but it is up to us to discover through prayer, reading, studying & meditating the Word as well as through other spiritual means, what is recorded for our life and then by His grace we fulfill them. For this reason, Paul prays in Colossians 1: 9-10 and Ephesians 5:17 that we may know God's will for us.

For God expects us to seek and find His will for our lives. God says in Jeremiah 29:11 that His plans for us are good and extraordinary, which means that your life can only be unique, special and not an accident!God Bless..  God's help through the power of prayer is available for all kinds of requests and issues. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." If you need an example of a prayer, read Matthew 6:9-13. These verses are known as the Lord's prayer. The Lord's prayer is not a prayer we are supposed to memorize and simply recite to God. It is only an example of how to pray and the things that should go into a prayer - worship, trust in God, requests, confession, protection, etc. Pray for these kinds of things, but speak to God using your own words.

The Word of God is full of accounts describing the power of prayer in various situations. The power of prayer has overcome enemies (Psalm 6:9-10), conquered death (2 Kings 4:3-36), brought healing (James 5:14-15), and defeated demons (Mark 9:29). God, through prayer, opens eyes, changes hearts, heals wounds, and grants wisdom (James 1:5). The power of prayer should never be underestimated because it draws on the glory and might of the infinitely powerful God of the universe! You will develop a deeper connection with Jesus and will receive grace and power to do mighty things for God. Therefore, have a deep faith in Christ and yield to Him and He will bring it to pass, all that He has planned for you.
