FACT SHEETS Disney Textiles Treasure Hunt This excellent textiles resource was designed by Rebecca Evans from Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon who has kindly allowed us to make it available to other schools travelling to Disneyland Paris with Study Experiences.

Hitchingbrooke School Design Challenge
Choose and complete one of the following Design Challenges. Use your time in Disney to collect any ideas that you need to help you with your designs. Design Challenges: Challenge 1 Design a range of 3 products to be sold in ‘World of Disney’. They will be aimed at teenagers and must be based on a Disneyland Paris theme. They must not retail for more than £30 combined.
Challenge 2 Design a costume for a cast member working in the Hakuna Matata Restaurant. You will need to select their role and design an appropriate outfit. You will need to create your own design criteria.
Expected outcome: 1 page of Initial designs 1 page of Coloured Designs showing the products as a range. Front, back, side views and thoroughly annotated design work.
Expected outcome: ACCESSFM design criteria 1 Design page with a front and back view of the outfit. Full annotations.
Challenge 3 Design a Textiles product to furnish the room in the Hotel Cheyenne. Design Criteria: Based on a Wild West theme Be easily batch manufactured Be easily laundered Have elements of a Disney theme Be suitable for all ages using the room Add to the comfort of the room. Expected outcome: 1 page of initial designs for products. A final design for the product you would want to make.
