Kenya is home to vast and varied landscapes, peppered with huge herds of wildlife, including the sweeping Tsavo East National Park, the largest national park in the country. You’ll really get to know your surroundings as you spend six nights on an full-board basis at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge, close to the park. With luck, on this extraordinary tour, you’ll get a glimpse of the fabled Big Five of lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes and elephants.

Fly overnight to Kenya’s capital Nairobi, where you’ll stay the night before transferring in four-wheeldrive vehicles to Tsavo East National Park and your lodge, where you’ll stay for six wonderful nights. Spend a fascinating day at the Kenya Wildlife Service Education Centre and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where park guides and wildlife experts will deliver some fascinating talks, before exploring Lugard Falls and Crocodile Point the following day. The next few days bring several spectacular safaris into Tsavo East National Park, one of the world’s oldest game reserves. With a bit of luck, you’ll spot the Big Five and many other wonderful animals, including buzzards, giraffes, ostriches, African wild dogs, cheetahs and many many more. You’ll also enjoy a range of included activities, including a welcome cocktail, wildlife film screenings on selected afternoons, a cookery class at the lodge, and a tree-planting session. After a wonderful stay at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge, you’ll return to Nairobi via train for an overnight stay before your return flight in the morning, calling at a local primary school and Voi’s Commonwealth War Cemetery en route to the Kenyan capital.
