The Mafia on Film Talk

Session1: We look at the rise of the Sicilian Mafia - with much documentary footage and readings – their rise, the attempts to quell them, their leaders and the role of the Sicilian police force and judges. Suggested reading: ‘Excellent Cadavers’ - Alexander Stille. Session 2: We look at the Godfather trilogy – its making and influence, “The Firm” with Tom Cruise and many other film clips. All welcome – but no horses’ heads please! 120m each session
